RPM Automotive Repair Inc.
I own a VW Tiguan and was having problems with the driver's side door latch mechanism. Since I no longer live in Glendale, I took my vehicle to my local dealership where, not only did they charge TWICE of what RPM charges just for diagnostics, the estimated cost of repairs for replacing the electrical system in my door was close to $600 on top of the diagnostic charge. I said no thank you and was able to get my door to stay shut long enough to make it to RPM. Once there, the mechanic who serviced my car took my door panel off and immediately found the real problem - the cable to the door latch had completely snapped - it had NOTHING to do with the electrical system in the door. It was obvious that the dealership hadn't even investigated the problem because it was OBVIOUS to anyone who actually looked what the real problem was. The total for my part and repair was less than $100 and I was able to wait in a comfortable, clean, air conditioned office while enjoying a complimentary snack and coffee. They even hand washed my car for me once the repair was done!! Needless to say, I'm NEVER going anywhere else but RPM for all of my future car problems!

Boris Auto Repair
Over the past eighteen years I’ve trusted Boris Auto Repair with the four vehicles I’ve owned. With each service, whether it’s a simple oil change or a major repair, I’ve been completely satisfied with both the fast and courteous service. In addition to fixing the problem Boris will sometimes draw a diagram of the repair explaining why the repair was needed and how it could have been avoided. In some cases it was my neglect or just ware on an ageing vehicle. He would always let me know how long before I would need to bring the car in for a major problem could exist. I’ve trusted Boris for his recommendations for tires and windshield wipers as well. He will let me know for instance, when it’s time to rotate the tires or when to replace them. Through the years Boris has kept me safe on the road with his advise and his knowledge of both the foreign and domestic cars I’ve owned. In simple words, I trust this gentle honest family man with my life.

Boris Auto Repair
The five essentials of life are love, food, shelter, good health, a painless dentist and an honest mechanic, this last being Boris, whom I've known and trusted with our cars for more than 6 years. I've owned bundles of jalopies and sought the aid of myriad mechanics from coast-to-coast, yet none has had the diagnostic gift of Boris, who can evaluate and pinpoint problems like nobody's business. His evaluations and repairs are spot-on and more than reasonable in price. Other reviews have noted the same, so I won't repeat what's been told. Bottom line: This is a great and fair mechanic. I give Boris Automotive my highest rating.

Advanced Auto Care
I requested a quote to have a coolant pressure test done on my car, as it has been diminishing over the past couple of weeks. Nick was very prompt and responded back to me immediately. I made my way to the shop later on that day, Nick performed the test and closely monitored my car for any seepage. He did not find any leaks anywhere, and gave me advice on what I need to do to keep an eye on the car. He was very honest in his work, and seems very trustworthy. I will be returning for any other work that I may need in the near future. Thanks again, Advanced Auto Care!

Boris Auto Repair
Everyone knows that a good mechanic who is honest and trustworthy is hard to find. And when you do find one you definitely keep them. That's why Boris has been my mechanic for over 12 years. The work he has done on my cars has always been excellent. The service, the speed and commitment to quality are the best I have ever received. He never over charges for any work done. Always explains what needs to be done in detail so there's never any question that the recommended repair is unnecessary.I highly recommend him to all those in need of a great mechanic!

Sears Auto Center
I had an oil change service for my Nissan here which was quick and satisfactory. I requested them to replace drain plug with a mechanical drain plug (with spacer) that I bought online. I was happy as they agreed to do so without additional charges but finally disappointed me by returning the plug stating that it was loose. Later I investigated that mechanic did not use the spacer which was there with the plug in clear bag that I gave them.

Boris Auto Repair
Good quality mechanic for your engine, BUT his partner is not qualified to repair a new car after a collision. I took it in three times to redo the trunk since I got strucked from behind. The structure repair is about about a three star and the paint finish is a one star. It has a matte finish with missing paint and debris. Go to a professional that deals with collision repair not a back yard home repair.

Boris Auto Repair
My husband and I have been going to Boris for years, after a neighbor recommended his shop. It was great to finally find someone that was trustworthy, when it came to repairs on a car. He and his brother are the kindest people, very honest, always explaining in details, what is going to be done on my car. Even got a few "organic' health tips, Thanks I have highly recommended Boris to other neighbors.

MBZ Mercedes Auto Service
I've never had a great auto repair experience, that is, until I came here. Ara made me feel like I was stepping into his own home. He wasn't trying to sell me anything and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car with a thorough walk through. He got me great deals on parts and fixed my car same day. I would trust my baby Benz with him and he's made a customer for life. Thank you!!

I really love this place. When I last used them, they handled Japanese cars only, but if you have them, this is the place to go to. They are also very reasonable when it comes to price. For the transmission rebuilding for my honda accord, they charged me $500 lesser than the other good ones and it was perfect. They even fixed stuff for free at times while doing the service.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
