Sun Valley Barber Shop
Great classic barber shop. Tony and Frank Florio are the owners and have been here for over 50 years.Long established clientele so the conversations are like a town hall meeting.I love this place.

Let me just say dirty and the owner needs to go back to hair school instead of bragging about her new Lexus and having such a gross salon! She obviously doesnt care about her Image of her business at all! She also argued with one of her employees for taking a walk in while she was still foiling my hairbecause she wanted to squeeze her in too! The other girl did an amazing job on her clients hair while Darla did mine! Lucky her! Needless to say my hair is crooked breaking off and i have zebra stripes through my whole scalp! I felt awful for her girls that were there a younger girl even apologized for her unprofessionalism! Im calling better business Bureau and state board shes a disgusting selfish human being! Lets hope her employees find a nicer and more professional job environment

Wonderful Signature Salon
Great service and atmosphere as I was trying to prepare for my ex-husbands funeral. I was super stressed but Ms. Margaret gave me a big hug and took charge from there.

Monets & All That JAZZ
2 & 1/2 years ago I had a appointment for my hair to be cut/colored & highlighted for my wedding day. I called Monet's in a panic as the person I booked cancelled day before. Monet's was the only other local place I had not tried and I was scared to death to try something new just before my wedding! Andrea, the owner and Genius when it comes to hair, calmed me down on the phone... Said she would personally take care of me and arranged to fit me in her already busy schedule... Needless to say, I have never gone anywhere else since that day! I have tried multiple colors and styles in the last 2 and 1/2 years and Monet's has ALWAYS made me happy. What I explain I want... Happens! True Professional Salon. Oh, and Don't forget to ask for Ebony in addition to Andrea. Ebony is so sweet and does an amazing job. I have not had her personally do my own hair but everyone one of her clients walks out with a huge smile! 5 STARS Monet's and All That Jazz!

Sashelvis Hair Salon
I walked in today 25 months natural with a healthy head of thick hair. This was my second ever visit to a salon since starting on my curly girl natural hair journey. I intended to get a wash, conditioning, and roller set. Pretty straight forward...huh? The young lady who washed my hair, aside from not speaking any English, washed my hair (not taking into consideration the fact that naturals sometimes need their ends held while their scalps and hair are washed) got my hair completely tangled in knots. Then she proceeded to comb out the knots, raking from the scalp up, which created even more tangles and snagged my hair causing me to loose literally 1/2 my hair. I asked her not to do this, but she couldn't understand me. Once washed, I was placed in a chair to have my hair roller set. She grabbed a towe and started rubbing. I stopped her and requested the manager translate that naturals shouldn't use towels on their hair. The manager put her hands on her hips and loudly told me they've been doing natural hair fora long time and she'd never heard that. She then shoved the young woman about to roller set me out of the way, and picked up the comb to roller set me herself. The problem was that she picked up the comb with teeth fine enough to snag out even the straightest of fine blonde Caucasian hair. I asked her to use a wider tooth comb. She huffed and puffed, but conceded. Instead, she grabbed a comb with just slightly more spacing between the teeth. Surprise. Another 1/4 of my hair was lost in that comb because they refuse to untangle starting at the ends of natural hair. My hair is now roller set. It feels uber thin and I fear I may have set myself back 2 years. Please go elsewhere if you are a natural with coily hair rather than wavy hair. P.S. I don't think they ever used conditioner.

Just a moment...
