Hoosier Pick-Up
I hope people actually read these. I for one was very upset about my trash service until I learned that the mechanic for this company was doing side work for sweetland and c was sabotaging all of hoosier vehicles on purpose. In the last few months the mechanic drained all the oil in the engine in one trick and then let them run it. That blew a motor and another truck an employee messed with. Both of these people I have learned are now fired and he has invested a lot of money in someone new to get his fleet up n running. Before you know the whole story don't judge he has been a 2 man business since February if it seems impossible to get a hold of the owners you try running a company by yourself and on top of that have people trying to take you down behinds your back. The situation is sad for us who pay for their services and them. In the past couple weeks they have done so much for us and a few friends we know of that have them and are trying to get back to normal routes. Give them another chance people no one is perfect

Hoosier Pick-Up
I am not 100% satisfied with this company but I was reading some of these reviews and they seem maybe a little bitter of nor stretched a little. My trash has definately been missed a handful of times but I have either gotten a call from the main guy I guess himself or I would give them a call and it was usually a woman who would Answer and she was always so kind and generous in fixing the situation by either getting someone out the next day or offering a discount on the next quarter. I think they are going through some troubles worth their trucks but I feel they are a pretty good company and I have recommended them to a couple people. My overall experience has been good... yes they miss pick up sometimes but everytime I talk to someone they are so on point

Hoosier Pick-Up
I know that hoosier pick up has recently been missing trash pick up and people are getting angry. I myself can totally understand why costumers are angry. But what costumers don't understand is when you as a company you have fire people for being negligent. Thiefs need to be fired also. The company got down to 2 people and they are doing everything they can to keep costumers happy. I know that are doing everything they can to get caught up. Sometimes you get bumps in the road. Im sure they will get back on track and be the best that they can be for indiana
Tips & Advices
The cost of trash pickup often depends on the size of the garbage container and whether the service is being handled by the city or a private company. The monthly rate for weekly pickup of a 48- gallon garbage container can run around $20 if this service is handled by a local municipality, while pickup for a 96-gallon cart can cost roughly $22. Rates are often higher when working with a private company.
A compost cart is used for the pickup of compostable items. The list of compostable items includes yard debris, such as branches and plant trimmings; a wide variety of food products, including everything from baked goods to poultry to fruits, grains, and sauces; non-recyclable paper products such as used paper plates and cups; and miscellaneous items, such as cotton balls, hair, and wooden toothpicks.
Trash should always be placed in a trash container when possible. However, if you have more trash than you're able to fit into your trash container, some trash pickup companies will accept the trash if it is bagged and placed next to the full container. Many trash pickup companies will accept up to five extra bags at no charge.
The most common residential trash container size is 96 gallons. A 96-gallon container is large enough to meet the needs of the average family, and it's generally able to handle weekly collection cycles without overflow. This is the largest residential trash container that a garbage truck's automated side loader can accommodate.
Paint cans should not be placed in regular trash bins. Paint and paint thinners can be hazardous to the environment, and these items require special handling when it comes to disposal. If you have paint cans that need to be disposed off, call your trash pickup company to make special arrangement to have them removed.
