Alans Mountain Rentals
Hi, I am the owner of Alan s Mountain Rentals in Gatlinburg Tn. I normally do not respond to reviews from my customers but the ones here from DONALD & DEBORAH are just too outrageous, derogatory, exaggerated, and just downright false I had to. The star rating for this review had to be completed before I could post my defense pay no attention to it. Donald Sellers and wife checked in June in,2014. He called several hours later and said there was a lot of dust on one wall and outside of the frig needed cleaning. That was it. I told him I would have my cleaning crew come by the next day to take care of it. He was fine. The next morning I was going to another rental and drove by his rental. He was setting on the porch. I stopped on my own. He asked if I was coming in now? I told him No but the cleaning crew would be back later when were out going and doing. He was fine. Later his whole party showed up at my office checking out and making all kinds of threats. They were even offered two other three bedroom log cabins that had just been cleaned and they refused to even look at them. There reviews are so false and fabricated. Please visit other sites with our reviews. Yahoo, BBB, etc. and you will find a lot of pleased guest. Donald and Deborah are so far out it is funny. Greenbrier Restaurant
I found this restaurant through restaurant.com and based on the menu it sounded good. When we arrived we were seated in a corner by the window which at first seemed nice but the tables are so close to each other and the walls it's hard to even get in your chair. The waitress was slow to come by but very nice. She was knowledgeable on the menu but advertised that it's "uncle bens wild rice" which was the first hint dinner wouldn't be too great. If i wanted microwave rice i'd go to the grocery store. The bread served with dinner was flavorless and for a restaurant with table cloths and cloth napkins, even a candle on the table-they left butter packages sitting on the table. The salad that accompanied our meal seemed straight out of the store bought iceberg lettuce. After choosing an over priced entree our food arrived. My husband had the trout and enjoyed it but said it wasn't anything special. I had the pasta alfredo and hated it. Like the bed it was flavorless and just all cream it seemed. After scraping some of the excess cream off I finally gave up and just ate the grilled chicken. Overall we were very disappointed and couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Brookside Resort
My boyfriend and I found this adorable hotel through Groupon, and it was such a great choice! We stayed in a room overlooking the river, with a romantic fireplace and spacious king-size bed; the view was gorgeous and the location was perfect for us - close enough to the touristy downtown areas, but far enough away so it still felt peaceful and private. The housekeeping staff is incredible - every morning we had a fresh set of towels and more coffee waiting for us when we got back from breakfast (included with the stay!). There's also an outdoor pool and playground for kids, as well as a fitness center and free wifi, so definitely family friendly.... and for the price, you just can't beat it! Can't wait to come back :)

Brookside Resort
My wife an I stayed during Valentines weekend It was the most amazing weekend we have spent together, Not only for the love we share but the accomadations were just awesome. They provided a Valentines dinner with Elvis on premises for a very reasonable price,Which included a 4 course meal a bottle of wine and entertainment. That was a blessing at that point because finding a place for dinner on Valentines was relentless we never had to leave the parking lot. We will definitlely be booking at the resort again in the future. They are clean courteous and very neat, Thank you for making our Valentines weekend very special!!

Brookside Resort
Nestled next to the nicest stream in Gatlinburg, Brookside Resort offers you a secluded setting while still being close to the restaurants and tourist attractions of downtown Gatlinburg. It has a super fun pool that my kids spend hours swimming in - both in the morning and for night swimming under the glow of the lights from the waterfall. They also love to play in the stream next to our room. It is such a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Smokies while being near the fun of Gatlinburg. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Brookside Resort
We come back as often as possible to Brookside Resort. We love the family atmosphere and spend many enjoyable moments on the private balcony just soaking up the relaxing view and sounds of the mountain stream. We have found the staff to be friendly and efficient, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast is more than adequate. (I love the oatmeal with the wonderful selection of toppings.) The Brookside Resort is close to all the activity of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge without all the noise and congestion! We highly recommend it.

Brookside Resort
We enjoyed our stay at Brookside. It is a hotel that is cute in a kind of retro way! Everything in our room was outdated but in a nice way. It made me feel like I was in my Grandma's house. Comfy and cozy. But, the best thing for us was how dog friendly this location was. We had a private porch that overlooked the brook and my puppy loved to sit on the patio and watch the water. And, the bus stop directly in front of the hotel was convenient. We will stay here again next time we are in the area!

Brookside Resort
We loved this place so much last year we reserved the same room for our visit this year. Upon arrival our reserved room could not be occupied due yo maintenance issues so we were upgraded to a larger room with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. And they honored the lower rate for the original room! We were astonished! Front desk staff was very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with the office dog too! This place is a hidden treasure and U.S. By far the best deal in town. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Alans Mountain Rentals
My name is Sally Edgars. We always stay with Alan's Mountain Rentals when visiting Gatlinburg for the last 15 years. We rented Patti Ann's Place this last week. Great mountain view, secluded. A very comfortable and roomy two bedroom log cabin. As always the cabin was up to date and nice and clean. Previously we rented Lora's, Gordon, Shomo's , Carpenters, and a Brentley one bedroom cabin. No problem there either. Give them a try. Sally.
Tips & Advices
Roofers commonly use certain supplies to handle the task of roof repair. A scaffold or a shingle lift is often used to access the roof. Roofers wear hard hats, and they typically wear soft-soled steel-toed shoes that protect their feet and provide optimum traction. Roofers use basic equipment such as caulking guns, paint brushes, electric or cordless drills, wheelbarrows, pop-rivet guns, power brooms, power spudders, shovels, backpack blowers, and high-pressure washers.
Certain supplies are needed when performing a do-it-yourself roof repair project. Working on a roof can be dangerous, and a safety harness with a rope and anchor point is essential equipment if you want to help prevent a fall. You'll also need a ladder, roofing nails, a crowbar, a utility knife, a tape measure, a chalk line, and a hammer.
Algae-resistant roofing shingles are shingles that have been specially built to resist algae growth. A common method for accomplishing this involves including copper granules in the shingles during the manufacturing process. Algae growth can cause unsightly black streaks on your home's roof, and this may lower your property values.
It can take less than a day to put on a new roof, but it could take as long as several days if the roof is large and complex. Weather conditions will also impact the length of time required for this task, and wind, snow, or rain will slow the process.
In general, the average lifespan of a roof is 20 to 25 years. However, the lifespan of your home's roof will be closely linked to the roofing materials used. Roofing made with asphalt shingles can last 15-30 years, and a metal roof may last 30-45 years. A roof made with concrete tile could last 35-50 years.
