Dental Works
Very nice people. Will go back. Took time to explain dental work I needed. The office ladies were very nice. The lady that works in credit and finance took time to explain getting credit to finance my dental work I need. I had the pleasure of meeting two of the dentist. They worked together to figure out my problems. I originally went in to get a partial denture repaired. The sent it to the in house lab while they talked to me. They had it repaired and back to me almost immediately.

Dr. Belton has been my dentist all of my life and is now continuing the "tradition" with my children! It is so nice when your children are EXCITED to go to the dentist and not fearful - even when they've had to have more than just a cleaning. He is (and has always been) kind and caring with all of us and goes the extra mile to make sure we're well taken care of. This family is surely grateful for all the years of excellent care!

The Smile Zone
I have taken my 4yr old son here twice and we have had wonderful experiences. He's usually very upset and hard to deal with, but he's is so peaceful and cooperative. The staff is great with him and very calming. My son actually looks forward to going to the dentist. I've heard they have change management issues so maybe this is why there is such an improvement from the older reviews.

I would like to say I love the work he has done with my teeth. He has fixed them and made them look great. My daughter loves him also. We use to go to the Smile Zone and they changed to Gaston Dental Associates and they didn't do near as good of a job as Richard Belton has done.I would totally recommend him to anyone and everyone that has to go or take there kids to a Dentist...

I am impressed with the fact that Dr. Belton doesn't always try to sell you on the most expensive option. He is willing to offer other options when he can. He is willing to work within the patients means while restoring the mouth to health.

I've been coming to Dr. Belton since I was child and probably since I started even developing teeth! I'm now in my early 20's and still cavity free! He's always done a wonderful job and I've always felt extremely welcome.

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future

Just a moment...
