This place is full of liars and THIEVES. ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER BELEM. I paid for a complete dining and bedroom set IN FULL, plus delivery and set up. Within ten minutes after I left the store, the manager Belem, called me to tell me that the furniture company wouldn't sell her the bedroom set without the nightstand (which I didn't want, and we had already agreed upon), so I had to give her $100 extra for a piece of furniture I didn't want. I went through a week long ordeal with them because that's not what I wanted or had on a fully written out receipt, that was stamped in big bold red ink "PAID." They refused to deliver ANY of my furniture (such as the dining room set that had absolutely nothing to do with the bedroom set issue). Plus they refused to give me back my money for the mistake on THEIR part. I ended up calling the police. The store manager, Belem, COMPLETELY lied to the officer. She said I wanted a night stand but wasn't willing to pay for it, and that I told her that I found a cheaper set so I wanted my money back. She said I came into the store angry, hostile, and cursing at her employee. All of which, was a lie. This entire time, I've been sick and tired - literally, with the flu. I don't really have the energy to be dealing with all this, MUCH LESS waste energy like being irate or cursing at someone who had nothing to do with any of it. ALL OF THE LIES AND THIEVING WE'RE ALL DONE BY BELEM, THE STORE MANAGER, WHO IS NEVER THERE WHEN SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE, AND IS DATING THE "BOSS MAN" AS SHE LIKES TO REFER TO HIM AS. I HAVE STILL, YET TO RECEIVE ANY OF MY FURNITURE OR MY MONEY.

Baker's Main Street Furniture
This has been a very frustrating transaction trying to do business with Bakers. They do have a great selection with wonderful prices. Several years ago I purchased a leather couch from them; it arrived quickly and has been a wonderful piece. But in March of this year, I purchased a couch and chair, and I am still in August waiting for delivery of the chair, having only received the couch three weeks ago! Communication has been unbelievably poor, with all the effort on my part. Apparently the manufacturer had a delay with the fabric I chose for the couch. Nobody told me this for months - in fact I would have just chosen a different fabric, given that information. I was told in May that my chair was "in". I opted to wait to deliver both items at once. In JULY when my couch was finally ready to be delivered, they could not find my chair! I was told it would be reordered, and should be 2-3 weeks. I called last week for an update. No response. It has been three weeks today. At this point I will ask for a refund on the chair, and give up - assuming I can even reach someone. I will sadly never do business with Baker's again. I understand that things can happen, but the lack of concern or communication is inexcusable.

This is one the best buying experiences I've ever had. I was greeted instantly and when I told them what all I was looking for, they jumped right on it and showed me all of the options they had. Their staff is friendly, professional and caring and the prices are unbelievable. Overall this was the easiest yet best buying experience I've ever had and I would recommend them to not only my friends but my family also. GREAT COMPANY, GREAT STAFF, GREAT PRICES.
