A And J Auto Service
I will NEVER bring my car here ever again. I would NEVER recommend any one doing business with this cheating bastard! After getting two full diagnostics test and spending $1,000 of work that he claimed to do, my car broke down the very next day. (He told me there was a 6month warranty on the car and if anything were to happen he would fix free of charge). These people call me two days later telling me I can pick up my car and that I owed $150 for the labor. When I got there my car was suspiciously parked down the street. What kind of service was this! They will not get away with this buffoonery!!

Dav's Auto Repair & Smog
Had my car at two other shops and they could not repair. A friend recommended Dav and I had AAA tow my car in. I had been without my car for nearly a month and in less than two days it was repaired and at a fraction of what two other shops quoted me. I live in Orange County, but will always make the drive here!

Hi Tech Wheel Alignment
I had my 2007 Nissan Altima four wheel alignment done here and the owner was very professional and honest. The price quoted beat the other shops I had called. Very satisfied with the service.

RT Smog & Auto Repair
I took my 1992 Ford Ranger to RT and had the Transmission rebuilt, the head gaskets redone, a new starter put in, and a new oil pan. I also had my wife Impala fixed there too. The transmission was rebuilt and the heads gaskets too. George is a honest guy. It's hard to find a good mechanic. We drove from Whittier.

After towing our car we were charged $84 for a diagnosis. They diagnosed it then told us oh Bye the way this is an $84 charge. My husband is terminally disabled and they knew we were totally strapped for cash. The car is older. It is a 96 Honda. We only paid $300 for the car and it was all we had. Eddie and his guys knew this. They told us that we could bring the pink slip in and work out something. When I got there they refused to give me any money. They said if I didn't like it that I could take the car but I would have to pay storage. The can get money for the transmission, Catalytic converter, doors all kind of parts. I told them to would take $100 and we could call it even and they said no, "junk it yourself." No kindness for customers, they are just out for what they can get not to help their fellow man.

TLDR:Seriously an awful & dishonest shop. They charged me $330 in labor for a $20 part. The mechanic was unclear and did not follow through. He said that if I payed in cash that he wouldn't charge tax - and when I went to pay with cash - he charged tax anyway.

Hi Tech Wheel Alignment
Went to get my alignment done after I got my tires changed. Not only was the shop owner WIse fast but also recommended me to get my brake pad changed as well. Price was fair and had it all done in one place. Thank you Wise!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
