Route 66 Discount Tires.
I called on a Saturday afternoon, from a large RV with a tire bald down to the very steel beneath the former treads. . . they could not have jumped faster, higher or worked harder to get me fixed up with not one, but two tires I needed, and my bill for both tires was less than 1/2 what all of the other dealers had quoted me for but just one tire. . . I don't know when, if ever, I was ever treated with such kindness, humor, and honesty, particularly when each of us knew well that I could not have gone another 5 miles without a complete blow out of my tire. . . in my excitement, I left my phone charging in their office, once home, they mailed it back to me at no charge, laughing at what had been our mutually enjoyed experience. These guys are absolutely the best in the business, I've never felt better about trusting a company to do me right when I least expected any such courtesy. . . Greg Griswold - 608-575-5114

A J Tires
(2009)Cheryl and Buck Run a good shop. They gave me four Alignments on my 2003 KIA Optima, it was shredding tires cuz the Gallup Big O took all of my shims out of the rear. (Strut replacement)They worked on it till it was right. Hands down. Charged me for one alignment, did not charge me for extra used tires, till we stopped the over wear again. This problem started at the Gallup Big O, cuz I needed struts. Just about knocked the bay managers head off after he argued with me about the shims and sitting in the car for an "offset" Alignment.AJ Tires Fixed another "Chains" problems.Go see ANY Big O if you think you can get better service.I WAS a Lifetime Big O customer, Denver, Co Springs, Las Vegas. Then used Gallup. NEVER again will I step into Big O...

A J Tires
We were on our way to California and got a flat tire on Highway 40. We went to AJ Tires and were very grateful for the service Daniel, the manager, gave us. They had problems fitting our size tires and rims but Daniel worked to find a solution. We appreciate his going out of his way to help us! Yes, we made it safely home!

Good job. Customer service is excellent. They know what there talking about
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.
