Pump It Up in Gaithersburg is the absolute worst kids party place ever! We had our twins birthday there and one twin needed to be taken out of the facility on a stretcher because of their gross negligence. They mopped the floor and encouraged him to run in to the room. After his head literally bounced on the floor, he could not walk straight, holding on to the walls and a friend. We sued and they had to settle out of court for $30,000 to get it quiet and out of the public. My son temporarily lost his vision and has severe concussion symptoms for several months. After the lawyers fees and medical he gets $13,000. Hardly worth a birthday in a crappy old warehouse. DO NOT GO THERE. Owners do not care about kids, staff is incompetent!
Keula Binnely at Superb cuisines is definitely and unfortunately the most unprofessional person I've dealt with as I plan my wedding for October 2012. DO NOT BE MOVED by all her testimonials. After securing her with a deposit of $2464.50 I was still unable to get information which I requested from her for weeks. Simple stuff like cake and vegetarian options to finalize my menu. Everything she was supposed to do, she either never did or she was so late it was embarrassing for me having picked her and her company. It was almost like a slap in the face for me, or an annoying "I TOLD YOU SO" ringing in my head every time she failed to do what she said. A reminder that I was going to keep nagging Keula constantly to get her to do what she says. I at times had to contact the decorator that referred me to Keula to get in contact with her. Once we did speak it was a bunch of excuses... and whoa is me which I dealt with as I had already paid a deposit which I knew was non refundable so I did what I could to maintain at least friendly conversation. She cancelled a meeting and was working her way into not showing up for the rescheduled one as she put the time down in her calendar wrong... and never called me to confirm as I had requested. She totally wasted my time. I call her, clearly annoyed I tell her that I've lost patience and have no confidence in her company to which in my opinion any business owner would recognize their mistakes and try to come out with a satisfied customer in the end. I was annoyed, as any other customer would have been at her lack of commitment to my wedding, her lack of attention to detail, her lack of customer service. I figured she would shut me up by showing me GREAT customer service and GREAT FOOD with a GREAT experience to match. But you know what Keula Binnelly did? She proceeded to tell me that I must have something going on that I am "taking out" on her. I explained to her that my demeanor came as a response to her unprofessionalism basically. Her lack of commitment as I stated before and her non-chalant attitude to my concerns. She started to tell me about all her testimonials... I asked her to point out an instance in our relationship when she could say I received that experience... And of course there was no reply... She ended up suggesting that I take my monies back and work with someone else to which I almost jumped out of my chair in happiness as her deposits are non refundable. This conversation was had on 7/5/12. I called her back the next week Friday 7/13 as she stated it would take 3-4 biz days. Today is 7/20 and I do not have my money yet. Her quote was significantly less than other caterers in the area, but think about it... Do you wanna pay someone thousands to give you the run around leading up to a date such as your wedding?!?! If I could give her negative stars I would...
