Fresno Tattoo & Body Piercing Studio
Make sure you go to Smiley :)He's absolutely amazing! I was very impressed first of all with the amazing customer service of this shop upon initial phone call. My tattoo came out amazing, and Smiley was all over the after care, and made us feel so comfortable all the way through. I couldn't be more pleased, best tattoo shop I've been in thus far. Now let me tell you in a little more detail. My sisters and I decided on a whim to get a matching sister tattoos, we came up with a design, and all agreed to get it done together the next day, which was a Sunday (we all live away from each other but were together for a family reunion) Well as you know, most tattoo shops are closed on Sundays, so it was very difficult to find one with good customer service, and that was open! (all other shops -6- that were open on Sunday we called In the Fresno area SUCKED at customer service, I was not pleased.Mike was very helpful over the phone, gave us an estimated amount based on our description, and were able to fit us in the next day! They were away at an event but eagerly took my pone call, and sounded ready to help. I loved it.Upon entering the shop Sunday, I noticed it was clean, there were lots of portfolios to look through, and the persona of the company was helpful, easy going, and made us feel so comfortable. We are very picky, so it took an hour just to come up with our stencils. Never did we feel uncomfortable, all of our questions were answered, and our tattoos look amazing. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. It was just a plus that they are decently priced as well, I would have paid a lot more just based on their customer service alone. Thank you Smiley and everyone at Fresno Tattoo. We will be back! ~The 3 Norwegian Sisters

Performance Electric
They sure helped me. Called on these guys late on a Saturday, a new spa (that they didn't hook up) blew everything in my breaker box, they had a tech at my front door within an hour ready to work. Not only did they fix the problem, but the tech helped case down the PG&E tech TWICE to get us power again before night fall. Bright and early the next morning as promised the tech returned with the new main panel and got right to work. He had everything he needed for the job on his truck, no little side trips, no excuses, the job got done fast and at a fair price. Not one problem with the fine people at Performance, as a matter of fact next week I'm calling them to install new lighting in my backyard. I won't waste my money on a company that has poor service or bad workmanship.

Albright Electric Inc
I became acquainted with Albright when I was working. My employer used their services. When I retired I found that I needed an electrician very close to Christmas. I called and Joel came right over and resolved my problem even though I know they were busy. Since that time I have used Albright 4 or 5 times and every single time I get the best service. I trust the company and their price is very fair. I have only dealt with Joel & John and they are professional, knowledgeable and nice to work with. If you need a good electrical company you can't go wrong with Albright Electric. I recommend them highly.

Solomon's Porch Tattoo Parlor
Great people, fun place. Clean environment. Artists take the appropriate precautions to ensure a safe experience and clean pieces. Reasonably priced. My boyfriend got his very first tattoo here, and honestly....it came out 100 times better than what either one of us had even imagined which is so important for a first tattoo experience. In fact, looking at his made me want to get another one ASAP. I've also had work done here and left with pleased with the turnout. With that said, I definitely plan on getting more work done myself, and when I do, I'll be coming back here.

Blackbeards Family Entertainment
We had an opportunity to have a party at Blackbeards with some friends and their families. From the moment we stepped onto the park we were greeted with smiles. Their staff was well organized and helpful. The park was amazing! I couldn't believe how many things there to do, from amazing mini golf to ropes course, bumper boats, go carts and a whole lot of other things . We could have spent the weekend there!!! Awesome park! Awesome people! Awesome fun!

Solomon's Porch Tattoo Parlor
I have many tattoos, but Solomon's Porch is the only shop I've ever gone back to. I'm now wearing 5 tattoos from Rob and he's working on my sleeve and planning a large cover-up. I even took my 12 year old daughter there for her cartilage ear piercing. They're always friendly, professional and clean, but most of all the art is AWESOME! I'd recommend Solomon's Porch to anyone looking for tattooing or body piercings.

Able Electric
I normally don't write reviews but had to applaud this business. I had a list of electrical problems that have built up over the years. I called and talked with a very friendly gentleman. He called back and came over sooner than promised. He explained my options for each problem and was very knowledgeable. Now everything is fixed and I feel safe. This is a great company. Will call again and recommend to others.

Able Electric
Wish I could give More Stars. I'm not good with electricity. Our kitchen fixture began to blink and we were worried. I called and left a message and Able got right back to me. He came out before he had promised because he was in our area. He replaced the parts inside the fixture and now everything works perfect. We are very pleased with the job. Thanks Able Electric!

Russell with Able Electric was highly professional, thoroughly explained the situation, was incredibly intelligent with his work, and he fixed an issue that took others days to even try to sort out. Reliable, honest, reasonable and efficient!! I was beyond impressed and will definitely recommend Able for any job big or small!!

Able Electric
Left a message and they got right back to us. They showed up earlier than they said they could. He told me everything he was doing and why. He even replaced some broken plug plates that have been damaged since we moved in. A great experience. I loved the customer service. A class act. Won't use anyone else again.
Tips & Advices
Keep the following tips in mind:
  • Do not operate any electrical equipment while sitting or standing in water.
  • Don't overload extension cords or surge protectors.
  • Put caps on your electrical outlets if you have small children.
  • Call an electrician if you notice your sockets or switches are warm to the touch, discolored or if they make noise.
  • Keep electrical cords away from stoves, ovens and other sources of heat.
  • Do not use an appliance that has a frayed cord.
  • Do not staple extension cords into place or cover them with carpets or furniture.
  • When using extension cords, make sure to unwrap them before plugging them in.
  • Don't overuse extension cords. Have an electrician install extra outlets if you need a power source closer to you.
  • Only use light bulbs with the correct wattage for your lamps and light fixtures.
  • Contact a licensed electrician if you frequently blow fuses, since this can be a sign of an electrical wiring problem.
  • Have an electrician look at your fuse box to ensure you have the right size fuses and circuit breakers. The wrong size fuse or breaker can be a fire hazard.
  • If you have fault circuit interrupters installed in your electrical panel, make sure you test them at least once a month by turning them on and off.
It can cost from $40-$100 an hour depending on the job. This does not include additional costs for parts or trip fees. Make sure to ask in advance what they charge for or if they will provide a free quote.
In order to become a full-fledged professional, a person must undergo an apprenticeship with master and journeyman electricians. An apprentice needs 8,000 hours of practical work before graduating to the journeyman level. If an apprentice reaches journeyman status, he or she can complete most electrical work, but cannot design it until completing more testing along with 2,000 more on-the-job hours.
Yes. While all electricians need a license, not all of them do the same types of jobs.
  • Outside: These types of electricians work outdoors on electrical lines that connect to power plants.
  • Inside: Inside experts typically focus on commercial and industrial buildings that require a lot of power.
  • Residential: Residential electricians work with low-voltage systems and wiring to install fuse boxes and light fixtures.
Watch out for contractors that greatly underbid other electricians. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Also, always remember to get the estimate in writing before settling on a company.
