I'm sorry you felt that your grandmother was given a bum rap but believe me if this was the only problem caused your grandmother would still be happily in her apartment. There's two sides to every story no need to get into the specifics but you know as well as I do why things went the way they did. hopefully your grandmother is happy and healthy where she is and we wish nothing the best for you and your family. Thanks Evergreen Management
For years, I had heard that the area of Shaw and Sixth in Freeno was as bad as living in Southeast Fresno. I was told it was gang controlled and drug riddled. So when I first found myself on a fixed income five years ago, I chose the cheapest apartment I could find in Clovis on Alamos and Peach, just off of Shaw. I quickly discovered that area of Clovis is indeed run by gangs, drug riddled and overrun with homeless squatters. Even in my own complex, I couldn't walk out my door without stumbling on to a drug buy in progress. After five years, my rent went up and my income went down. When I found my apartment at College Manor Apartments for $200.00 less, I decided if I could live at Alamos and Peach, I could live anywhere and I made the move. And again, I was surprised. It is quiet, my neighbors are orderly, nobody is just loitering about. The area is clean and tidy. And I feel realitivly safe. Upon moving in and discovering my oven didn't work, the management replaced my stove with a very nice one. My apartment is cute and cozy. I'd recconmend College Manor to anybody!
I lived here for awhile in college. It is a nice apartment complex, lots of trees, grass, plenty of parking for both guests and those who lived there. Cedar Commons has a pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a excercise room, a area to have a bar-b-que with with tables. It's quiet, lots of people, who work, attend college, etc. This apartment is within walking distance of Fresno State University, and not to far from the Save Mart Center. Each apartment has it's own patio, and it is not to far from Freeway 41 and Highway 168. It's a few miles form Clovis. I would have lived there a longtime, had my roommate not moved out and left me with all the bills. The only downside to living at Cedar Commons was that anytime anyone walked up and down the stairs ( It's a two story apartment, but not a townhouse), the walls vibrate and you can hear your neighbors walking around above you occasionally. But I think most apartments are like that. I would definetley recommend living there.
I have been here for 1 month and the new manager is awesome! She is a zero tolerance manager, I have had no issue with any rodents or roaches. I have had 1 work order since I moved in and it was corrected the same day. All work orders are completed within 24 hours from receipt. I have not had an issue with any noise, break in's and etc. I have heard bad things about this property but have yet to see what anyone is talking about. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and my the move in process was easy. If you want a place for a reasonable price, with friendly staff that offers a quiet living environment then you should come here! The only thing that needs some work is the property should be painted but when I talked to the manager she stated she is working on that. So before you base your move on the bad reviews I would stop by the office and you be the judge of it. I guarantee you will love the staff and apartment!
Rich,That's not true about Terri. She talks kind of slow, but that's just how she is. She's not a drug addict. She's a very nice person and too lenient, and that's why people got away with so much at Cedar Tree Apts. She's got a very big heart. She was also fooled too easily by people when they'd apply, and later would find out they weren't good people. She's not the manager anymore, but not because of anything she did wrong. The only thing that I ever found wrong about Cedar Tree is that they charge Section 8 people more rent than anyone else. But, that wasn't Terri's fault. That's what she was told to do as every other manager is told to do that. Terri felt that was unfair to section 8 people.
Sandalwood gardens management, there's not too much to complain about there. When you need something fixed they usually act promptly, unless it's not in their control which is understandable in some cases. both managers of Sandalwood gardens are both sweet hearts... but I must say if you are planning to live here know that it is infested with roaches. If I had known that this place was infested before I moved here I wouldn't have moved here. I asked for my apartment to be sprayed, it never happened and if it did it never solved the issue. Every morning I wake up there's more roaches. If you can't tolerate roaches this isn't the place for you.
I was not sure about my move to this community as this would be my first time living alone. I was looking for something affordable and close to my work as well as schools and shopping. I went in for a tour and the office staff was so friendly and helpful showing me a lovely 2 bedroom apartment that had so much room I could really see myself living here. I couldnt wait to leave my deposit and the manager was so nice she made the application process go smoothly. I have lived here for almost a year now and love the community as well as the maintenance and office staff.
Since San Mar has taken over, there has been some good improvments but some not so great. First the new maintenance guy has been on top of things, before he came nothing was getting fixed. I have lived here for years I am happy to say all my things have been fixed FINALLY!! The bad part is the office lady does not have it together, she seems to be lost and unsure of her job, my friend decided not to rent here after dealing with her. Last I wish Casa Luna didn't have to drive through our complex they drive to fast and just about hit my grandkids
All I can say is question every little charge they say you will owe. I'd be down $100 had I not gotten lucky. Would give one star but I'm giving two star rating because I liked the size of the 2 bed, 1 bath apartment. Loved my apartment and the patio size. Neighborhood has a lot of foot traffic. Someone kept coming inside my patio and stealing my stuff I had to buy a lock. I felt unsafe in the neighborhood and frustrated with management. If you're thinking of moving in I hope you have a better experience than I did.
The apartment is very small, the room is just big enough for my bed. The bathroom is the smallest I've seen, the walk-in closet is spacious. However it's a cozy place, each tenant gets a car port, and it's a gated community. That's why I'm going to move in, I know my tenants rights, so I'm moving in as an important tenant. Last but not least, is the move-in payment is very high, first, last, and deposit...
