J & J Quality Construction Inc.
We cannot even begin to explain what a wonderful experience we had with J&J Quality Construction. We interviewed five contractors - some bids were higher, some lower, but we got a fabulous feeling about this family run operation. From the appointments which they were always on time for, to the final product of our new kitchen and office, they were incredible. The construction professionals working in my home were respectful and always cleaned up at the end of the day...on time, on budget and communicating along way any changes or challenges! I would recommend J&J Quality Construction to anyone who wants a quality product! Thank you for our beautiful kitchen. Photos coming soon!!

Mike Angelos, Real Estate Broker, Keller Williams/KW Commercial
Mike is a great Real Estate Agent! He listens to you and finds out what you need and then gives you a plan you can understand. My mother hired Mike to sell the house she lived in for several years. Mike worked well with the bank and the buyer and kept her informed and involved in the process. I know several people who have bought or sold properties with Mike Angelos as their agent. He knows his business from top to bottom and works very hard for his clients. He is a great negotiator because he looks for solutions that satisfy all parties. I highly recommend Mike Angelos to anyone looking to sell or buy property in the Central Valley.

Energy Star Construction
Energy Star did a very excellent job, better than I ever expected, and less expensive then I had expected. Everything inspected was signed off with no problems. When I paid them, I accidentally paid too much, and they were honest and wrote me a check for the difference. Also, my husband is older and is unable to climb up on the roof to see what it looks like, so Brandon took before and after pictures and gave them to us when the job was complete. It was a blessing to have them do professional and honest work for us and go the extra mile.

Energy Star Construction
In May of 2016, Energy Star Construction installed Windows and a HVAC unit in my home. I would highly recommend this company, they were extremely helpful and met all my expectation accordingly. My new windows look great, and my home is nice and cool in this hot valley weather. I am happy to say that I made the right choice, in choosing Energy Star Construction to help me with my home improvement projects.

I've visited several of their model homes in different areas and they never seem to disappoint.. great floor-plans, large living space and super nice standard upgrades such as granite kitchen countertops and tile flooring. You have to check out the Bianca.. it'll blow your mind!

Brenda Mcreynolds Realtor
Really nice when she answered the phone, but when I asked her a question, she said she didn't handle that type of transaction. I asked her for a referral to someone that did, and she didn't answer and rushed me off the phone. I thought it was kind of rude and if I ever need a different kind of R.E. transaction I will be going with someone else

G & R Construction
Gary, the owner, was very professional and easy to work with. He stayed true to his quote and even finished a day early! He also built an extra shelf (at no charge) since we had some dead space after removing a wall to make our waiting room larger. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend Gary and his team.

Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
