West Coast Tires and Auto Center
DO NOT EVER GET YOUR WINDOWS TINTED HERE. IT'S NOT PROFESSIONAL AND THE WORK COMES OUT BAD. I REPEAT, DO NOT GET YOUR WINDOWS TINTED HERE. WE WAITED 5 HOURS IN THE LOBBY WHEN THEY TOLD US 3 HOURS MAX! MY TINTED WINDOWS ON THE CORNER ARE CUT DIAGONAL AND ARE PEELING A LITTLE. IT'S DEFINITELY "NOT" PROFESSIONAL WORK!!!

Payless Brakes
They were very nice, and didn't try and tell me what other things I may need. I came in for one thing only but because of their prompt service and professionalism, I would come again, even though I live in the mountains. When I come down for other things like Costco, I will make arrangements to have my auto work done there.

Dubs Custom Tires & Wheels
Just had brakes done from Midas they suggested I needed to replace two front tires, decided to wait and get a better deal elsewhere. Pulled into Dubs two days ago explained my situation, gentlemen there said he would take care of me, two like new Michelin Tires for 80 dollars 10 dollars to balance. He decided to give me a ten dollar discount. Said job was done and to come back if ever needed them for any reason. Great I thought drove off and my tires sounded funny. Thought maybe they need time to break in, rode for two days then last night terrible blow out front right tire. AAA to the rescue explained my events to tow driver he says this tire was warped, looked at the other front tire said that one was warped also soon to blow. Asked were I went to get tires I explained Dubs he said oh no never go there they've robbed so many people. Always go to West Coast tire. Wish I met this guy days earlier. Words of advice ladies....

Del Ray Tire & Retreading - Commercial - Agricultural - Fleet
They got the job done quickly and was seemingly effortless, the only thing I would complain is that my car came back with new interior scratches and black smudges on the interior fabric...not cool.

West Coast Wheels & Tires
I bought tires n rims less than a year..one of the tires cracked on side wall..let the owner know since it should be covered under warranty..owner states it happened because of road conditions.. Which is a lie its a defect n should of been covered under warranty..I told him that I want to see warranty rules n he said he didn't have it..looked online cracked tires should be covered under warranty.. I do not recommend this business..

Payless Brakes
These guys are a rare find in Fresno. 2 brothers, Yeppo & Sako really take care of you. They were upfront about what was wrong with my car and even though the repair seemed pretty expensive and excessive, they told me to go checkout a few other places. My wife waited in their (remodeled?) lounge, very nice for a mechanic shop by the way lol. Went to about 5 other places on Blackstone before I realized these guys were not only the cheapest, but they were willing to do a little extra work to make sure on top to make sure i don't come back for the same problem. When I told them the quotes i got and asked them how they stay in business if people "pay less", Sako said when they provide good service the first time, they'll want to come back if they have any other issues in the future, with their other cars, referrals. Makes Sense. Got my car back a day before they said it would be ready. Been a year, and no issues! Thanks guys!

Les Schwab Tires
Well folks I had the most amazing experience today took my car in thought I needed two tires they put it up on the rack took the tires off came back and told me all I needed was a patch in one of them and that the tires were good so they put them back on fixed and when I went to pay it was no charge honestly folks when was the last time in corporate America that people did the right thing they are testament to their founders I'll be sure to go back there for any and all of my needs
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
