Shackleford's Plumbing
I had a leaking faucet on the exterior of my home. Shackleford's Plumbing was very easy to schedule an appointment for service and the technician called 30 minutes prior. The Technician, Mike, was very professional and replaced the faucet very quickly. He showed me exactly what the problem was and made recommendations on how to avoid the issue in the future. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Shackleford's Plumbing for any plumbing needs and repairs.

Farrell Plumbing And Heating Inc
Excellent Customer Service, service .was done quite quickly. Called this morning for service and they were here shortly after; they fixed they replaced the leaking pressure release valve(PRV) and installed a new 3/4 ball valve before the PRV. And they fixed the Slow filling bathroom by replacing the flood safe toilet supply water cable. Excellent Service Definitely Recommend.

Wow! So impressed and thankful to finally find a plumber who is an expert in his field. KTL came to my house on a Sunday night (who does that?!) and I was not charged extra. Our leak was quickly isolated and fixed. I'm also thankful that the technician was clean and professional...that means everything to me! KTL is my new "Go to" company for ALL of my plumbing needs. Thanks!

Kellam's Plumbing & Heating
Kellam's Plumbing remodeled my bathroom, replaced my hot water heater, and has unclogged my kitchen sink. It's a great plumbing company. They are neat, efficient, and know more than most construction people I've worked with. Their prices are competitive, they arrive on time, and do beautiful work. I recommendt them without reservation.

I called KTL Services because my water heater stopped working. Kevin the owner came out that day and was able to get my water heater to work again with a great low price. I definitely recommend KTL Services to anyone who is tired of over paying larger companies.

Rapidan Plumbing Incorporated
While the plumber was courteous and snaked the blockage out with no difficulty (he even explained the process step by step), I was flabbergasted with the $400.00 bill that came with the service.

Tips & Advices
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
  • Before calling a plumber, try to unclog your drains and toilets yourself by using a plunger.
  • Make sure you use a standard bell-shaped plunger for your sink and shower drains and a plunger with a flanged end for your toilets.
  • If neither type can loosen the pipe blockage, put a plumber's snake to use.
  • Ratchet the snake down the pipe to eliminate any clogs.
