Carpet House
First off, Sylvia and Amanda were fantastic on getting me set up for what I desired for hardwood installation. Melinda in scheduling was great in being proactive to get me on the schedule. The end result was very good but pretty sure I won't be back. Why? The installers were fantastic, the follow on crew, the staining crew, not reliable at all. I couldn't ever get them to nail down a time when they would show. Each day they got later and later. Of course, I had to be there at 8 a.m. waiting. Finally, while the stain looks good, because of his tardiness with getting here to apply the polyurethane coats, I didn't get the 3rd application because that was the same day Carpet House had allotted to bring folks in to move my furniture back. I ended up kicking out the contractor as I was tired of his not staying to the schedule and making excuses for not telling me times he would show. The real FRUSTRATION, I let Carpet House know of the issue and they STILL BILLED ME FOR THE ENTIRE 2ND PAYMENT! Didn't even take the time to send me a detail final invoice or even deduct the fact I didn't get 3rd polyurethane application. Pretty sure I won't be back for next phase of project or even do business with their parent company, Sims Furniture as there seems to be an inability to communicate

Carpet House
They seem to have a nice showroom, and I was interested in having them give me an estimate for a large flooring job in my house. However, I went to this store twice and none of the sales people could be bothered to speak to me. The first time I caught a sales guy as he was hurrying out the door, and he told me I could wait a half hour to talk with another salesman, or I could go into the back and hunt down the sales manager. I proceeded to walk around the store for 15 minutes and saw no one. The next time, I walked in the front door and immediately saw a man and woman at a desk that didn't acknowledge me at all. I walked around the store a while, and while the sales guys there didn't look busy, they were all talking to each other and didn't acknowledge me. After nobody spoke to me after several minutes, I walked out. I looked right at the woman at the front desk, and she just looked at me and said nothing. I guess they don't want my business.

Custom Design Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
Custom Design installed the HVAC system when the house was built in 1994 and continue to service our heat pumps and propane gas furnace to this day. They respond promptly to emergencies, and they even replaced our main floor heat pump and back-up gas furnace during a sleet storm when the heat pump failed. They are an authorized TRANE dealer and have always been responsive to our HVAC needs.

F C Ouellette Heating & Air
I have been a customer twice in the last year (two heat pumps needed repairs) and my daughter has also been their customer. They provided honest, extremely informative and helpful information as they worked on the units. Brandon is a great technician and their best salesman because of his knowledgeable and forthright approach to solving your problems.

Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
