There were too many people to remember their names but the whole experience left me quite humbled and in awe of what these guys and girls do for us all, day in and day out, night in and night out. Thank you all so much and in the nicest possible way I hope I don't see you again! Kind regards Helen

Well, another great stay at Kindred Hospital SW. My second go around. Once again I would like to say thank you all for the care I've received. Kudos to wound care nurses Doreen and Janet. I appreciate Kindred for accommodating a bed for my wife since she stayed with me. The only negative thing is the parking for visitors not enough spaces.

This was my first time at Kindred Southwest. I was impressed with everything and everyone. They have a very impressive wound care team. Monica was on top of things along with her staff. Thank you Tracy and Laura my caseworkers for talking to my daughter and keeping her updated when I couldn't remember something. Lawanda is a fabulous nurse and Debra and Robin are some good techs. Thank you Dr. Sadie and God bless Kindred. SAllen

Dr. Jennifer Lynn Speaker, MD
Dr J.L.. Speaker moved her practices to the lake worth or jackboro Hwy area. The office there is not friendly at all. I will go elsewhere.

Kindred Hospital Tarrant County - Fort Worth Southwest
Kindred Southwest has been a part of my family for 10 years. My husband was a patient here that long ago and here I am a patient. I remember them taking excellent care of him and I have received the same wonderful care. There are two special ladies that I have bonded with Marci from therapy she was always available and several times when I just needed a good cry her shoulder was available and then Sandy she always had a smile and a great sense of humor. I was always laughing and even at times that I didn't feel like it, I couldn't help it. They both brighten my day. The wound care team was very impressive along with Dr. Hupert. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. R.evans

Kindred Southwest what can you say except Wow! There are so many people I would like to acknowledge for such outstanding care provided while I was a patient. They have the most awesome nurses, like Chris, who become a new daddy, Linda and Barbara who makes sure everything runs smooth. The techs, Beverly, PJ always made sure my hair was neat, Robin, Dominque was good. Housekeeper Virginia was pleasant while cleaning my room each time with a smile. Nancy my dietitian always kept me on the right track, Annie in dietary would make sure I received sweet tea on my breakfast tray, thanks for remembering. My two doctors, Dr.Kurup and Dr. Sashi are incredible. Kindred' wound care team I appreciate everything you did for me. And the rest of the Kindred team who I didn't have the pleasure of meeting kudos to you. Last was my roommate, we had a lot in common. Take care of yourself. Winnie

Kindred Hospital Tarrant County - Fort Worth Southwest
When your in a hospital more than at your home you really would like a hospital that gives the feeling of home. I have been in and out of hospitals since September and the last one was at Baylor in Waco a teaching hospital. My doctor in Waco recommended Kindred SW, he said that he had a couple of doctors that he felt would help me even more. Dr. Ferree and Dr. Bismar are wonderful physicians. Also I had heard from a friend of a friend how great Kindred was. From day one here at Kindred I felt like I was at my home, it's not a brand new hospital however the floor I'm on is newer and with it being a older hospital the people that I have come in contact with have been genuine, very caring. I would like to say Callie my nurse and Donna my tech were amazing, along with the rest of there team. Housekeeping cleaned my room everyday, the saying Its like cleanliness is next to godliness is true. I can't thank everyone enough. I will pass along to anyone that ask about my stay at Kindred. Tips & Advices
This depends on the center. Some may allow brief visits by family members. Patients should ask about visiting rules before inviting people to stop by.
No. Patients should arrange for someone to drive them home and stay with them for 24 hours following the procedure.
This depends on the procedure. Most centers ask that patients arrive one to two  hours before the procedure begins. Following the procedure, the patient will stay at the center until fully recovered from being sedated. This may take between one and three  hours. After that, if the patient isn't experiencing abnormal pain, he or she may leave.
Different states have different rules regarding requirements for surgery centers. However, ASCs are required to be certified as a Medicare and/or Medicaid Ambulatory Surgery Center supplier before they enter into an agreement with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The most common types of procedures conducted at surgery centers are:
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedics
  • Pain management
Some of the most common procedures include:
  • Cataract surgery
  • Colonoscopy
  • Pain injections
