Great waitress, good food. Never had anything I haven't loved. Huge pizza, fresh pasta, quick friendly service. FYI always packed at lunch time. Must try "Chicken Fra Diablo" recomended by waitress and I'll never eat anything else. We frequently get Ziti Bolognese, Spaghetti w/ Marinara, Linguini w/ white clam sauce, Pasta Sampler Platter, Cheese sticks, Stromboli, Calzone... Love the place, not for those who have an aversion to grease. Very causal my kids have even been in there in there dress up clothes (my daughter a princess and my son a train engineer) and the waitress remembers them. We like to eat in or call and order for pick up and have it at home quick and easy. The owner/manager (?) is not the chattiest guy in the world but the waitstaff way make up for it. You go in twice and you'll be recognized and drink order remembered. It's a seat yourself which I like that way we don't have to be in view of the tv's (my personal pet peeve) while we eat. For those who do like it I've seen the tv's on everything from ESPN to CNN to some spanish channel. Good for those who like it but for those who don't there are tables where you can hear but not see.
Bad Service Experience: A couple of friends and our wives rode our Harley's out to the stock yards on Saturday 04.06.2013 and spent the afternoon walking around and checking out the history of the area. After looking around at all the other places to eat, we decided to roll up to the Love Shack and try a burger about 6pm. Cool place with a nice vibe, live music, out door multi-level eating areas and large stage. We were really looking forward to just chillin' out for while. It is a small walk up corner spot with several people waiting in two lines so we got in line street side. There was only one girl waiting on people she was alternating between the two lines. After a couple people in front of us ordered, we stepped up, but the young girl totally ignored us and only waited on the people in the other line. After the 4th person I said "excuse me, we would like to order" and she still wouldn't wait on us. Maybe since we weren't all cowboy'd up and didn't quite fit the rest of the crowd, our presence was unwanted. We took our $$$ down the street and spent $200 at place with better service.
06/06/2017Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
The Fort Worth Texas location, is run badly the management was rude, the shell fish we ate had bits of shell still on them when served, we called the main office to advise them of our background in the food industry and our visit, and we still have not recieved a call or email of apology, We do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a nice nightout or good food.Reminder if the top managers are reckless with customer service, the people below them will be the same, The only way to get good service is to really give your honest review, not a review from the managers who put fake reviews on this site.
We celebrated my daughter's birthday with friends here last night. As it wasn't her initial choice of restaurants (45 min wait at her fav) and we'd never dined here before, we weren't sure how it would go. We were BEYOND pleasantly surprised! The food was fantastic! The ambiance very welcoming, cozy with class & flare! And the service was truly wonderful! From the hostess through managers, we received friendly, courteous attention. Our server, ROBERT, was phenomenal! He gave excellent, top-notch service, friendly & humorous. Thank you, Robert, for making her birthday one to happily remember! We will be back!
We went to Dixie House Cafe twice this past weekend, 5&6 of May. Hubby and I both wish there was one in OKC so we could go more offten. Not only our watress but EVERY body working there came by our table to check on us or just to welcome us there. The food was AWSOME, prices were very fair, and the staff is second to none. If you ever find yourself colse enogh to go eat at Dixie House Cafe, you have to go. Well worth the trip/ I know when and if we are near again, we will go back.Cliff and Carol
06/17/2013Vindoli's Italian Pizza & Subs
Vindoli’s is a much needed and long missed taste of real authentic and made fresh to order, cuisine. Lake Worth is a fast growing area that is peppered with fast food chains, frozen pizza, re-heat and go restaurants, and until now, has been utterly lacking in anything resembling quality take-out.Do yourself and your taste buds a flavor and season your week with Vindoli's.(I highly recommend the 'Venetian Panini'; you will not regret it.)-v
