State Farm Insurance
Dear Ed, I am writing you in regards to an accident I recently had and how my State Farm Agent, Darren Miller helped us. My wife and I went for a ride on our motorcycles on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. About an hour into our ride, a car moving into my lane clipped me. Luckily he just missed my wife, but I went down traveling about 45 mph. I must tell you that I have never been involved in a collision prior to this, and being on a motorcycle made it even more traumatic. I was lucky to have only recieved minor wounds, I had some road rash and my bike was wrecked. The ambulance arrived along with the police and a small crowd had gathered. The whole situation was chaotic. My wife and I had no idea what to do. We were concerned about how this would be handled by the car drivers insurance agent as he was at fault.I was in a bit of shock and didn't know what to do. My wife, being the smart one, contacted our insurance agent, Darren Miller. Darren immediately calmed my wife down telling her as long as I was OK, everything would be allright. And within 20 minutes of being called Darren was at the site of the accident. I cannot begin to describe how his presence that day made everything better. Darren advised us on how the accident would be handled by the other insurance company, Allstate. He arranged for a tow truck to come pick up my motorcycle and he made sure it was properly loaded on the truck to ensure that it didn't recieve any further damage. And he even assisted the other driver getting his car in a drivable condtition. And most importantly, Darren calmed my wife and myself ensuring us we would get through this day OK. Darren then transported me to the motorcycle shop and assisted with the paperwork for repairing my bike. I cannot stress enough my gratitude for having a State Farm agent like Darren Miller that day, and every other day for that matter. It is good to know we have an insurance company and agent we can count on. Sincerely, Doug Hoenig

Love Shack
Bad Service Experience: A couple of friends and our wives rode our Harley's out to the stock yards on Saturday 04.06.2013 and spent the afternoon walking around and checking out the history of the area. After looking around at all the other places to eat, we decided to roll up to the Love Shack and try a burger about 6pm. Cool place with a nice vibe, live music, out door multi-level eating areas and large stage. We were really looking forward to just chillin' out for while. It is a small walk up corner spot with several people waiting in two lines so we got in line street side. There was only one girl waiting on people she was alternating between the two lines. After a couple people in front of us ordered, we stepped up, but the young girl totally ignored us and only waited on the people in the other line. After the 4th person I said "excuse me, we would like to order" and she still wouldn't wait on us. Maybe since we weren't all cowboy'd up and didn't quite fit the rest of the crowd, our presence was unwanted. We took our $$$ down the street and spent $200 at place with better service.

Reata Restaurant
Haven't been in a while but I do love this restaurant. I especially like the grilled veggies. I have never had an issue worth mentioning except one certain night when I was dining alone. The food was great but the grilled veggies were less than hot. Other tables got the attention leaving me to hang. Guess that particular waiter wasn't expecting much of a TIP from me. I tend to over tip and most who wait on me know that. Even if the service is bad I will leave something. I left him 10% and let him know that his service reflected in the TIP. Otherwise the wait staff has always been great. My experience has been that they understand the reason people go out to a finer restaurant and bear the cost is because they know we want to be treated special, if only for the time a meal. in a world that demands so much from you. I do need to have dinner there soon. Think I will take my dad.

Houlihan's
We celebrated my daughter's birthday with friends here last night. As it wasn't her initial choice of restaurants (45 min wait at her fav) and we'd never dined here before, we weren't sure how it would go. We were BEYOND pleasantly surprised! The food was fantastic! The ambiance very welcoming, cozy with class & flare! And the service was truly wonderful! From the hostess through managers, we received friendly, courteous attention. Our server, ROBERT, was phenomenal! He gave excellent, top-notch service, friendly & humorous. Thank you, Robert, for making her birthday one to happily remember! We will be back!

I had Empower Insurance for the past 8 months.Customer Service is hopeless .They intentionally put you on hold for 20-30 min after receiving the call . They have rude talking lady Beila. Her main job is to talk rude , cut calls. The service I received from them is horrible.I had tough time when trying to cancel the policy with them.To cancel the policy they charged $425 and then came down to $380 and then $252 without any reasons.I advice to be more cautious when having an insurance with this company. You are probably doing greatest sin in your life by doing business with them.

Empower Insurance Group
I have read the negative reviews and absolutely disagree. I have had the best experience with Empower and would highly recommend them to others. From customer service to claims , they are top notch professionalism and fair. Too many times a company only receives negative reviews and no one is willing to step up and say something positive. Make time to commend a company for the job they do right so others can make an unbiased decision when choosing where to spend their hard earned money. Keep it local and support Texas business.

Tips & Advices
Insurance agents will often try to "upsell" on various extra products that may be useful for certain people, but are generally excessive for the average consumer. Stick with basic plans that cover as much as you need without any additional costs. For example, if the annual cost of your auto insurance is 10 percent or more of the total value of your car, drop all but the most essential coverage. This is especially applicable if the car you drive is older and could be replaced with savings. Otherwise, you are paying for insurance that will never actually benefit you in the event of a serious crash.
Yes. Even after you've chosen a plan and started paying into it, consider looking around again when it comes time to renew the policy. Consider using an independent agent when searching for a new insurance policy. While traditional agents can still find a good deal, independent agents can choose from a variety of providers and tailor your coverage to your specific needs. The Internet has also made comparison shopping easy. Potential customers can often get free quotes online very quickly.
Send your insurer a claim form for each beneficiary in the plan, as well as a certified copy of the policyholder's death certificate. With the proper information, life insurance claims are generally straightforward. Problems may arise if the policyholder has died within two years of opening the policy. In this case, an attorney may be needed to settle the claim.
In the case of damage, take pictures of the affected area as soon as any safety or health emergencies are resolved. Take note of what happened and all the relevant circumstances and report to your insurer as soon as possible. If any of your possessions were damaged, use an inventory of your important assets and make note of this in the claim. Once an adjuster has made their own report, review it for accuracy.
If you're involved in an accident, you need to call the police right away and have them document the situation. You can file a claim upon obtaining the police report. It's also a good idea, if possible, to take your own notes to record: what happened before the accident, the date and time, traffic signs in the area and road conditions. Also get the other driver's name, address, license plate number, and insurance information. Even photos taken with a cell phone camera can help the claims process. Once you have this documentation, call your insurance company right away.
