Dr. Jennifer Lynn Speaker, MD
Dr J.L.. Speaker moved her practices to the lake worth or jackboro Hwy area. The office there is not friendly at all. I will go elsewhere.

The Center For Osteoporosis & Bone Health
Saw them twice last week, once for dexascan and then review of my results. Staff was incredible . Friendly knowledgeable, funny, etc . Review of my results by Adam were awesome, He spent nearly an hour with me, teaching me and my wife what my readings meant, and how to proceed to continue my recovery after serious spinal surgery. I would pick these guys hands down over any other.Dr Ron H

Hulen Total Care PA
Fraudulent billing practices! Wouldn’t return my call to address the issue. Required me to pay for an office visit to tell me I was fine! LONG wait time in the waiting room for a scheduled appointment every time!

Dr. Kevin Doody, MD - CARE Fertility
My experience was WONDERFUL! I knew I was in the best care and completely trusted everything Dr. Kevin said. He is the best doctor I have ever had. The nurses, the lab, and the front office staff were all amazing. I cannot thank the CARE staff enough for the wonderful care they gave me.

Dr. Joane Baumer, MD
I had surgery there for a hernia repair. There are over 500,000 of these repairs done each yr. Thought no brainer to have this procedure done there. Well the resident who perform the surgery was incompetent did not finish the job. A 2nd procedure was needed to fix or complete the job. I came to this hospital thinking I was going to get a better deal then the private hospitals. Since I was paying out of my pocket. In good faith I paid the required amount up front of 2500 dollars. At the first post op appointment at the surgical clinic they knew it was not fixed, so I had to have a sonogram which cost over 500 dollars no good deal there, also I had to return several times after first surgery. Got nickel and dime to death.. in between the 2 surgeries I paid the Anesthesiologist Bill of 2300 dollars My balance with the hospital was 6100 dollars in which a payment plan with no interest was set up with billing and myself to pay 300 dollars a month for 22 months. After a visit with the chief of staff a 2nd procedure was performed to fix what the resident did not complete. Even the chief surgey was asked point blank if this should have been fixed with the 1st surgery his answer was YES. The hospital sent me a bill for 28000 dollars and a Anesthesiologist bill for 6900 dollars. Pretty much a switch n bait. After 3 months of trying to get help with this bill the staff but one person has continued to lie to me. I have been very patient with this process but pretty much the hospital and it's staff don't give a Damm about fixing this issue. This issue has caused my blood pressure to go through the roof. This hospital is a good example why our health care in this country is in a mess. I will never set foot again in John Peter Smith hospital

Privia Medical Group North Texas
For hospital and some of the medical professionals that are allowed on the premises:One is charged for a very brief hospital visit from a doctor(hospitalist) one does not know nor do they know you. A visit from these hospitalists are not wanted or needed but you get them anyway so they can make numerous bucks off the helpless person who has no say so in the matter. Of course they are always out-of-network and I am getting sick and tired of hospitals allowing E.R. Docs groups, radiology techs, and any other medical group or person, etc. of not taking the same insurance as the hospital and being in-network. Then it is the sick patient that has the on-going hassle with the insurance company, the hospital and the medical group to resolve billing and sometimes totally ridiculous charges since they are out of network and/or do not take Medicare period. I am grateful for doctors that do care about their patients and try to help out in situations like this.
Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
