Collision Maxx
This is an update to my review below, which was written and posted in late November, 2015. I received a call from Robert, the new office manager at the Collision Maxx North Richland Hills location a few days after I was turned away. He told me that they had located my misfiled paperwork and that they would be happy to replace my broken door handle, free of charge. He said he would order the new part and call me when it came in. I got a call two days later and was told the part had arrived and I was asked to bring my car in and drop it off. Robert told me that he anticipated my repair to be completed at the end of the next day, (paint drying being the subjective.) He called me just when he said he would and told me that my repair was complete and my car was ready to be picked up. I didn't have a ride, so Robert offered to come pick me up. I have to admit, their body and paint man does an exceptional job at matching up paint. I believe that my initial experience was simply a misunderstanding, and I would recommend Collision Maxx to those in need of paint and body work.Posted by Charles P. Altman on 12/14/15We took our 1999 Buick Park Avenue to the newer Collision Maxx location at 6404 N. Davis Blvd. In North Richland Hills and dealt with B J, who manages both locations. We have a door handle that you lift up to open. The metal catch had broken off, so the door wouldn't open. The fix was simple-remove the inner door panel, remove the old handle, replace with (what I was led to believe was) a new GM door handle, which had to be painted. They completed the job on March 19, 2015. I paid $263 and left with my “lifetime warranty” in hand. The same “GM” handle they replaced, broke again in mid November 2015. This is a one man shop. He came outside, gave it a jiggle and told me “Yup, it broke again.” I left a copy of the original receipt with him, and he led me to believe that they would order another handle and call me when it came in. I got a call three days later while I was out of town. When I got back to town on Nov. 30th, I went to their office. The guy behind the desk was told by B J that they couldn't repair my vehicle. I asked why not, since it's a GM part, I'm sure they'll replace it. He said he didn't know where they got the part. I then asked him what if I pay for labor? He told me “we don't want the job.” I turned and as I was walking out the door, he said “We're sorry.” I thought to myself that he had finally said something that I agree with.Posted by Charles P. D & J Automotive & Performance
Small business vs big business,I took my car to Jefferey back in October. My A/C compressor was failing, and I needed to have it replaced. I called around, and got several quotes. I was virtually just up against a wall, and running out of options. I'd been searching for days and was ready to just give up. I stumbled across Jefferey's shop online, and decided to give him a shot. Boy, did I strike a gold mine.I took it to him, and had him diagnose the compressor and did in fact determine it was bad, and all in under 10 minutes. We sat down and discussed possibilities, drew up some paperwork and gave me a quote. Not only was his quote fair, it was better than any other big chains I had called, plus he was able to take care of it on the spot, and got straight to it. My compressor was delivered within an hour, and installed and everything completed within a few hours. He gave me a two year unlimited mile warranty, with no hassle, and conditions. Pep Boys wanted double his price, 1 year warranty, with a limited mile warranty.Fast forward 6 months later my compressor died, I didn't have my receipt, but that was no issue, he had it for me. I brought it to him, he looked at it, and determined the compressor had become faulty (not his fault) parts just wear out. Not only did he honor his warranty, he exceeded any expectations, and did so in dignified, and professional manner. If you're needing quality work, in a timely manner, at an excellent price, this man will get it done, and right the first time. He's also ASE certified, and they don't just hand that out lightly, it's earned, and backed with hours of proven ability. Stop being treated like a number to the big boys, this guy is fair, honest, and straight to the point. Honesty is the best policy. Thanks, Jeff!

Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
I am so impressed with my Maaco experience. The trim on the rear door of the drivers' side of my 2006 Impala started to catch on the trim of the front door. This was obviously a manufacturing defect but I was apprehensive about returning my car to the dealer as I knew I would be at their mercy regarding time. I decided to try to repair the damage myself and got out the superglue. I managed to totally damage the paint on both doors and the damage only got worse. When I brought my car in to the Maaco on South Hulen I was greeted warmly by Greg who did the original estimate. He was so helpful and bless his heart tried to make me feel not so bad about my poor judgement. Anyway, it turned out that the guys at Maaco were able to repair the damage They were able to repair the damage to my car without painting anything. I can't believe they even cared enough to try to do that. And it looks like new - it's beautiful! I am so grateful to all the people at the Maaco on South Hulen. In addition, it only took two days and renting a car from Enterprise down the street was a breeze. The other places I went to told me it would be a minimum of 4 days to complete the repairs. I can't say enough about how great my experience was at the Maaco on South Hulen. My phone calls were answered promptly and courteously and I was kept informed of the repair process. The thing that really impresses me is that this was not a very important or profitable undertaking for Maaco but I felt like they really cared about helping me. It was unprecedented in this day and age. Go to this Maaco - they are AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Global 1 Auto Inc
Excellent, Swift Service!A month ago I totaled my car and was searching for one in the Austin/Fort Worth areas to no avail. I found a 2008 C350 on the Global 1 Auto website. The staff was very quick in responding and answering any questions i had. I was able to work out a deal and pick up the car the next day. The car was in very good shape and the owner informed us before the purchase that the tires would need to be changed within half a year. I've had the car for a month now and have had no problems with it at all. The engine runs very smooth and the tires are in good condition. An oil change was performed before purchase and the interior was very clean. The car was very reasonably priced for the make and year, even more so considering this is a dealership not a sale by owner. They overnighted the license plates, which arrived in under 24 hours. I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and love my new car. I would recommend this place for anyone in search of a used car, especially on a tight time frame. Thank you to Mike and the rest of the Global 1 Auto team for being so accommodating and helpful especially in a time of desperation.

Bright's Transmission Service
So my sister's car had transmission probs and she took it to Transmission Masters on James & 20. They had an advertisement that stated free tow and free diagnostic (she didn't notice it was only free if they did the work). They told her it would cost $2200. No way does she have that kind of money so she told them she couldn't do it right now. They tried charging her $200 to get it back but she didn't even have that. They relented some days later and told her $70 and come get the car. She went and paid them, and a friend towed the car back to her home. The transmission was in a million pieces in the trunk of her car, her exhaust was dragging the ground because they broke it and they took her right front axle off cause they broke it too, and neglected to put it in the trunk, leaving it in their garage somewhere. Well, she got another (read:HONEST) place to do the work. They fixed the transmission, the axle and the exhaust for right at $1300. So I am recommending Bright Transmission over there on west side. They are honest, do the work right and don't overcharge. Give them a call....(817) 244-8200.

Customer Service at the Carmax Service Center at River Ranch Blvd in Fort Worth was awful this afternoon from the moment I drove up till the moment I drove off. Staff didn't greet me when I walked in. There were several employees were on the computers talking to each other when I pulled up to the glass in my car. There were 2 employees at the computer immediately at the service door who continued to speak to each other. They eventually asked if they could assist me. I told them what was wrong with myour car and that the problem had been going on for months. One employee proceed to list all the possible scenarios. After a quick look at my car I was told to monitor the situation. After I was given my keys back and the employee's business card I was told that I was free to go I drove straight to exit the Service Center up to a bar that didn't raise. The employee who check my car came out to tell me that I needed to back up to exit and that that happen all the time. I left feeling as though they I staff viewed assisting me with my car as an inconvenience.

Midas Auto Service Experts
I took my 2007 ford F150 crew cab in to have a brake job done along with rotor machining. The owner/manager called me with some news about my truck. I told my wife when the phone rang that I bet the truck was in worse shape than we thought. No one likes a phone call from the repair shop! Anyhow to my surprise the owner told me that my brakes were fine and didn't need replacing! I was amazed because this guy could have lied like so many of the shops do. He told me that he was going to be able to machine the rotors and that everything else looked good. Instead of thinking that I'd have to spend around $500 bucks for the repairs it only cost me $110 bucks! They did the repair fast and the truck drives like a new one I kid you not! For the other reviewer that gave them a one star sorry about your vehicle. My experience was great though and I will defiantly return if I need anymore work done. The owner was very honest and for that I will recommend this shop to others! Thanks for the GREAT SERVICE!!!!!

NTB National Tire & Battery
I went to National Tire and battery on the 5th of February 2015 to purchase new tires for my trailblazer. The initial tires that I bought where too large and were placed on the truck anyway it was near closing time when I have gone but they went ahead and took my truck in and installed the tires. When I left I noticed that the tires were rubbing rather badly and I got out and checked they were rubbing on the suspension on the side wall which would have caused a blow out so I pulled back into the parking lot as TJ was leaving he had already shut down the store and close down the shop. I explain to him what was going on he was more than happy to open the shop back up pull my truck back in and replace my tires with ones that fit properly his customer service skills and work ethic are absolutely phenomenal and I am more than impressed even though there was a slight hiccup I will be more than happy to return to them and give them more of my business

Caesar's Auto Sales
I have bought 5 good autos from cesar. No problems but unlike some I pay my bills. He tries to help people as much as he can but he's got bills too. I think 2 of the reviews are not fair sounds like people that are mad they didn't pay their bills and got repo'd. Don't go online and slander someone because your a dead beat. I don't know what people think when they say illegal repo if your 1 minute late on a payment it can be repo'd that's the law it's a unsecured loan once in default it can be repo'd. There is no 90 days notice there is no notice you know when your late and you don't call he repo's you auto. All I could advise is if you don't have credit or lots of money down go talk to cesar . But if you got credit and a good down payment go to a large dealer. It will go on your credit. and cesar doesn't charge interest.

Aguirre's Perez
I took my 1997 Q45t to this garage. My car's computer is out, so a lot of places I've taken my car to have had issues trying to diagnose the cars' problem. Somehow this mechanic found out that my mass airflow sensor was out?!?!?! I was very skeptical, but having heard about him through a friend of mine, I went ahead and had the sensor replaced. This is a job that would of cost more than my car at another more expensive shop in grapevine who said that my car needed a knock sensor, and an upper manifold gasket. Labor alone was over 300 bucks at the other place! I ended up getting my car fixed for $150 bucks... and they gave me a 30 day warranty on the new sensor. great people! They spoke English and Spanish! Its been 6 weeks since i got my car fixed and it's still running like a champ!
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.

Just a moment...
