Collision Maxx
This is an update to my review below, which was written and posted in late November, 2015. I received a call from Robert, the new office manager at the Collision Maxx North Richland Hills location a few days after I was turned away. He told me that they had located my misfiled paperwork and that they would be happy to replace my broken door handle, free of charge. He said he would order the new part and call me when it came in. I got a call two days later and was told the part had arrived and I was asked to bring my car in and drop it off. Robert told me that he anticipated my repair to be completed at the end of the next day, (paint drying being the subjective.) He called me just when he said he would and told me that my repair was complete and my car was ready to be picked up. I didn't have a ride, so Robert offered to come pick me up. I have to admit, their body and paint man does an exceptional job at matching up paint. I believe that my initial experience was simply a misunderstanding, and I would recommend Collision Maxx to those in need of paint and body work.Posted by Charles P. Altman on 12/14/15We took our 1999 Buick Park Avenue to the newer Collision Maxx location at 6404 N. Davis Blvd. In North Richland Hills and dealt with B J, who manages both locations. We have a door handle that you lift up to open. The metal catch had broken off, so the door wouldn't open. The fix was simple-remove the inner door panel, remove the old handle, replace with (what I was led to believe was) a new GM door handle, which had to be painted. They completed the job on March 19, 2015. I paid $263 and left with my “lifetime warranty” in hand. The same “GM” handle they replaced, broke again in mid November 2015. This is a one man shop. He came outside, gave it a jiggle and told me “Yup, it broke again.” I left a copy of the original receipt with him, and he led me to believe that they would order another handle and call me when it came in. I got a call three days later while I was out of town. When I got back to town on Nov. 30th, I went to their office. The guy behind the desk was told by B J that they couldn't repair my vehicle. I asked why not, since it's a GM part, I'm sure they'll replace it. He said he didn't know where they got the part. I then asked him what if I pay for labor? He told me “we don't want the job.” I turned and as I was walking out the door, he said “We're sorry.” I thought to myself that he had finally said something that I agree with.Posted by Charles P. Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
I am so impressed with my Maaco experience. The trim on the rear door of the drivers' side of my 2006 Impala started to catch on the trim of the front door. This was obviously a manufacturing defect but I was apprehensive about returning my car to the dealer as I knew I would be at their mercy regarding time. I decided to try to repair the damage myself and got out the superglue. I managed to totally damage the paint on both doors and the damage only got worse. When I brought my car in to the Maaco on South Hulen I was greeted warmly by Greg who did the original estimate. He was so helpful and bless his heart tried to make me feel not so bad about my poor judgement. Anyway, it turned out that the guys at Maaco were able to repair the damage They were able to repair the damage to my car without painting anything. I can't believe they even cared enough to try to do that. And it looks like new - it's beautiful! I am so grateful to all the people at the Maaco on South Hulen. In addition, it only took two days and renting a car from Enterprise down the street was a breeze. The other places I went to told me it would be a minimum of 4 days to complete the repairs. I can't say enough about how great my experience was at the Maaco on South Hulen. My phone calls were answered promptly and courteously and I was kept informed of the repair process. The thing that really impresses me is that this was not a very important or profitable undertaking for Maaco but I felt like they really cared about helping me. It was unprecedented in this day and age. Go to this Maaco - they are AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Factory Finish Collision Center
I went to this shop a month ago to get some body work done on my 2010 ford f-150, when I got their I was pleasantly greeted by the front staff and then the estimator came out and we got the paperwork started on my truck. After the paperwork was done we both went outside and did a once over on my truck. then he went through the process with me on whats gonna happen with my truck and that he would keep updated on my truck and when it was ready. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my truck back in a reasonable time and it was clean inside and out on top of that so thats why I gave this shop 5 stars I would recommend this shop to anyone that is looking for one right now.

Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
My car was hit by a truck owned by a local landscaping company and after a lengthy time, I came to terms with the owner/manager of the company, that they would amend the situation through Maaco. Maaco indeed more than fulfilled their part in allowing me to leave their business doors with a smile on my face and a satisfying feeling, despite the inconvenience that the landscaping company had caused me.

Silver Star Automotive
Owner/tech fixed a long standing problem the Mercedes dealer failed to correct and the warranty ran out. He took an additional step to shield the area where constant shorts caused multiple malfunctioning electronics. His charges were so reasonable we chose to pay him more. It's been a couple of years and the car has remained reliable thanks to his extra care..

This shop and their personnel is very professional. Don Mundell is just super nice and keeps you informed on the progress of the repairs which is unusual for auto repair shops. I would highly recommend this shop . Made my repairs to my car a walk in the park!!!!
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
