Bob Evans
My wife and I travel twice a year to Texas and North Carolina. We stay in motels, and we visit restaurants that are local or belong to a chain not located in our hometown. We visited the Bob Evans Restaurant at 5135 Meijer Rd, Fort Wayne, IN, during such a trip. The restaurant looks like a well-lighted coffee shop with a mix of booths and tables. The layout was spacious and clean. There were no rocking chairs or jam for sale. Most servers were wearing Christmas sweaters with their black pants. We were seated quickly and quickly greeted by our waitress, Erika B. She was friendly, polite, and personable. She chatted a little about how we were and how our trip was going, while scanning the room to watch her other customers. Since we only experience Bob Evans Restaurants while traveling, she let us get reacquainted with the menu. I asked her about the Pot Roast Hash Breakfast. She described it and recommended it. I had it and enjoyed it. My wife had the Rise and Shine Breakfast and enjoyed it. Erika kept our drinks filled and checked back after our orders had been delivered.I’d revisit this Bob Evans again if traveling through Fort Wayne. We were checked out quickly, but I appeared to confuse the young cashier. When I use my AARP Credit Card, I always show my military-retired card as proof of identity. My AARP Credit Card says, “See military ID.” The cashier glanced at my ID card and my credit card. She handed my ID card back immediately and stammered, “We don’t give discounts.” I felt embarrassed and explained that I was showing identification.

Athenian Family Restaurant
Twas a happy accident which landed us at the Athenian Family Restaurant. True it took us a few moments to be seated but their lack of open tables speaks only to the fact that it is a popular place to eat. The food was impeccable and the service matched. The coffee was the best I've had outside of a coffee shop. I guess my only regret is that I don't live in Fort Wayne so it will be a long time until I am able to find myself here again.

Paula's On Main
I moved to Fort Wayne when I married my hubby after having lived in Cape Coral, FL for 11 years. One of my biggest regrets was that I wouldn't be able to get GREAT seafood that I love so much. I was wrong. Paula's rivals any seafood restaurant that I frequented in Florida. I almost never get seafood anywhere else. I love their Almond Crusted Walleye and the Tuna Sashimi is the best around. Never stringy.

Double Dragon Restaurant
No different than any other Chinese carryout in town. Portions are what I expected for the price. I called ahead and it was ready when I got there. The menu says 8 wings for $3.50, but there are only three. They are, however exceptionally large. If I'm in the area I will probably return, but won't go out of my way.

Oyster Bar
We were suggested this place from a person at our hotel. The bartender was funny and great to deal with. Food was above what we have been told about. If you want great food and great service I totally suggest you and your family come and enjoy the food here. A+++ and I travel the country for work.

Food was amazing I had the Sea Bass, atmosphere is upscale contemporary, service was fast, friendly and very professional. Live pianist playing all the favorites. This is a great place for lunch and dinner or just enjoy some drinks and appetizers.

Yen Ching
I have been eating here for lunch for years, I have never had a bad meal, prices are very reasonable, and their appetizers are too die for. They are open for lunch at 11:30am. Beef tomato soup on Thursdays is exceptional!
