Alot of people are saying that this complex has bed bugs, and that there are problems with Meth heads here. While it is true that there used to be a major drug issue at this complex, this was before the current manager got here. The people on here posting about bed bugs still live here. Personally speaking, if I had an issue with bed bugs, I know I would be moving. This is a wonderful place to live. Management is fantastic. Apartments are clean and bug free. Very affordable and energy effecient. Schools and shopping are close by. Very family oriented, in fact, many families rent multiple units to be close to each other. Great place to raise kids, Nice pool in the summer time. Zero tolerance for drugs and BS. The ones on here that are complaining so much are the ones who have been evicted for being meth heads and drug dealers. Our Manager has completely turned this place around. In the process she has slowly gotten rid of the white trash that lived here.

The Timbers
Super cute, completely renovated, all new inside and outside! After reading the other reviews, I was considering not even looking at them, but I am glad I did. They have come under new management in the last year and the entire place has gotten a face lift. Very clean, very new, and very spacious. Super friendly office, nightly security patrol, and seems very quiet throughout the day and night. We love it!

Dr. Thornton has certainly been the "answer" to our family issues. After many years of counseling, with very little success, I almost gave up. I am glad I did not because this is where not only myself but my family found the tools to deal with relational issues and find healing. Thank you for your professionalism and your sincerity to your patients. Blessings to all you will help along the way.

Jay L. Idk who you are but you speak of things you know nothing about. I haven't been around or talk to my kids in 2 years and this site is not for the purpose you used it for. It only shows you have no taste and are offensive and rude.. I don't appreciate being called out like this. You need to get a life and mind your own business.

The help I got here was tremendous and changed my life for the better. I recommend this to anyone who needs either a little or a lot of help and guidance. Doctor Tom is the best! 5 stars for everything except the office location, which is just a little bit inconvenient.

I wouldn't say it's first class, but I haven't had any problems that wasn't fixed almost right away. New management has been pretty spot on. Lived here for 8 months and haven't had any problems with other people.

Tips & Advices
Group counseling is when one or more counselors lead a group discussion, usually between five and 15 people. The group may focus on a shared experience or situation, and provide support and encouragement to the other attendees.
Each state defines its own requirements for what licenses and education are needed to be a counselor. It's common for counselors to have a bachelor's degree in psychology or a similar field, as well as a master's degree. After that, counselors should obtain their state license, and can move on to achieving other licenses like the:
  • National Certified Counselor (NCC) license
  • Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) license
  • Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) license
  • Forensic Health Evaluators (FHE) license
  • Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) license
  • Certified Family Therapist (CFT) license
This all depends on the patient's goals and circumstances. Some people are happy with their results after just a few sessions; others continue to meet with their counselors for years. There is no right or wrong length of time to go to counseling.
Anyone can benefit from counseling services. Counseling can help you gain greater insight into yourself; deal with feelings of sadness, worry, depression or anxiety; as well as work out relationship problems, trauma or addiction. Not every type of counseling service works with every person.
Yes. Except in very specific situations, a counselor will never repeat conversations from a counseling session. Situations where information from sessions might be shared include:
  • If the counselor believes the patient might harm him or herself, or someone else.
  • If the counselor wants to get a second opinion on the patient's treatment. If this is the case, the counselor should seek the patient's written permission before consulting another professional.
