The Hair of The Dog Mobile Grooming
Ken came out in an immaculate mobile grooming van. He treated my 12 yr. old dog George exceptionally gentle as though he were his own pet. The grooming, nail trim and deodorizing were nothing less than perfect! The price was also reasonable. Very professional. Would recommend to anyone who wants to give their pet a thorough grooming. This was my first time using a mobile groomer and I WILL use Hair Of The Dog again in the near future. Very pleased! Bill in North Fort Myers, FL.

Barks-Bubbles Diy Dog Wash-Spa
Took our King Charles Caviler here for grooming. She came back scooting and running in circles whining. Groomer recommended we take her to vet because she wasn't doing this before we took her in today. When we did, the Vet found razor burns under her tail which she identified and visually pointed out to both myself and my husband. Had to pay $40 for antibiotic/steroid cream for 10 days. When I called to tell Roy at Barks-Bubbles to notify what the vet had said, he basically called back saying I was a liar and there were no razor burns. Really?!?! Won't be recommending you to anyone!!!!! I know accidents happen, but the attitude of the owner to say I was lying is ridiculous!!!!!

The facility was beautiful, clean, well laid out. I got to watch my baby get groomed. I have a Shih Tzu and she was gorgeous when they were finished and they were so kind to her! I am definitely bringing her back!Jillian Novack and "Cora"

Academy Kennels
Hands down, this is the best kennel in town! 2 different dogs of mine over a span of 10+ years have stayed here and I will come back again and again. They treat the dogs with love and care and respect any "rules" you have as their owners. The staff is always friendly, a vet is close by for emergencies and place is constantly being cleaned. #iloveacademykennels

Pet Kingdom
Really great Mom and Pop store that care about the animals. The dogs come from USDA regulated facilities which means the parents of the puppies are well cared for. The prices of everything are cheaper than you can find anywhere

Chez Pooch
Commenting on that low review. They do their best to groom each and every puppy dog that comes in. So with that said like with yong kids and hair cuts puppy's on their firsts few grooming aren't the easiest to to stay still. And not to mention at that time they were giving one free grooming to each puppy that was bought from that store. Which is no longer the case.

Academy Kennels
The people here are very friendly and even though our dog doesn't love strangers, they've managed to get her to warm up to them.
Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
