Dr. Edward William Halpren, DO
Don't waste your time! The office staff could care less about you! I was seeing Dr. Halpren for fertility issues & 2 months out of the 4 months of seeing him the office closed without any notification to their patients! & I was unable to get the medicine that is required to be taken on a specific day. They have the ability to message patients, even from home. But not once did they reach out & say they were closing!! I called day after day leaving messages & NOTHING! My families dream of growing was shattered due to their carelessness. I've spoken to other women & found out they've had the same experience!!

Kenneth J Galang MD PA
I have been seeing Dr. Kenneth Galang for many years and have always been completely satisfied with his care and concern over my well being. I don't feel like he has his hand on the door knob as he attends to my visit like so many doctors do today. I am his only patient when I am in his office and how I'm doing is his main concern. Dealing with people in pain and running an office distributing prescriptions for such is not easy and I'm sure there are situations that arise that we don't know about that can cause unrest. Thank you Dr. Galang for all that you give to each one.

I really didn't want to post any stars but didn't have the option. My daughter is at the ER tonight and received very unprofessional behavior. Honestly, if I was there, I would have let them have it. Despite using sunscreen, she got very sunburned today. After using all normal treatments for relief, she was experiencing fever/chills and a temperature and I advised her to go and get checked out.One guy came into the room, she believes was a tech and laughed in her face and told her she just needed aloe, another guy (staff) walked by and said "suntan lotion" - and, this guy was either a PA or Doctor!!! How unbelievably unprofessional and rude. They sat her in the hallway for about 1.5 hours, didn't care about treating her instead... the staff chatted each other up in an adjacent room, talked about patients (violation of HIPPA) and drinking. She requested to be discharged after that and didn't see a doctor.I work in the health care industry and find this unacceptable. This is an environment that is supposed to help people not mock, ridicule and verbally abuse the patients. I will be contacting the hospital administration. For anyone reading this..DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS ER....UNLESS YOU WANT SUBSTANDARD CARE!! HORRIBLE patient care! Drive somewhere else!!

Kenneth Galang MD
Dr. Galang is the best. I've been going there for many years and I've always been treated with respect by him his truly sincere caring staff. I was shocked to see other ratings on here suggest otherwise. The only time I've seen anything even remotely negative is when drug seekers make impossible demands. Dr. Galang is straight up and strictly follows the guidelines. This office is very professional and I'd rate it at the top of all places I've been in 30+ years. Absolutely give him a try, you will be impressed.

Kenneth J Galang MD PA
His wife is the worst! She puts money before clients 100% of the time. They mess up all the time and try to blame it on anyone but themselves. They don't care about their clients and Maria is extremely rude! She charged a client an office visit even though he was having a heart attack in the clinic and instead of calling 911 she asked for his debit card. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, EVER! Avoid at all costs.

Kenneth J Galang MD PA
I was in Dr Galang's Office today & witnessed a woman ranting, raving & screaming at the top of her lungs at a gentlemen in the lobby. This woman was Dr Galang's wife. A male patient was telling the receptionist he was overcharged at his last visit. The receptionist said I have to speak to Marie (Galang's wife & office mgr) at the time she was yelling at the nurse. When she was finished the receptionist approached her & he too was yelled at by Mrs Galang. She then called the male patient over & asked him to explain but as he tried she spoke over him constantly. Mrs Galang wasn't making sense (they were talking only about 6' away & I heard everything) when the patient said I don't understand what you are talking about she said, "I really don't have time for this" so the patient said, "I don't want to argue with you & I know if I don't agree with you & pay what you say I owe, you will not let me see the doctor, so please just tell me how much you want & I'll pay it because I have to get my prescription. The patient spoke calming, didn't raise his voice & tried to reason with Mrs Galang but she had an agenda. Mrs Galang then started screaming & yelling like a crazy person telling the patient I will see to it that this is your last appointment, you will need to find another dr because you will not be coming back here. I spoke to other patients also waiting & one of them told me Dr Galang left 2 other practices because the other doctors in the practice didn't want Mrs Galang in the office. From what I understand Mrs Galang has temper tantrums often not only at the employees but the patients also. It's a shame you're in pain, need to see a doctor & encounter a person who threatens you if you get overcharged. I heard the patient was not given another appointment because Dr Galang stood by his wife. There are plenty of other doctors to see, I know I will not be going back. Other than writing a review I wish there was something else to do. It's unfortunate the doctor isn't the problem, for all I know he may be a nice guy & a good doctor. The problem is his wife & for whatever reason he is standing by her, I hope he reads this & understands his wife is the problem, she has a problem & needs help.

Charles Springer MD
I am not sure if this is happening all over but when I go, sometimes I never see the doctor only the physician's assistant. So last time I needed a shot in my knee and they asked, since the doctor was with a patient, could the P/A give it to me. I said no. What I am paying for is the doctor's expertise. I have no idea of the training or reputation of the P/A. They acting miffed as did the doctor. I go to see THIS doctor. I expect him to see me when I am there.

Jeffrey Richards MD
Dr. Richards is an extremely knowledgeable and caring specialist that is becoming a dying breed in this modern medical climate. I used to see Dr. Richards when I lived in Fort Myers and when I moved to the east coast I looked for another Orthopedist but found that task to be easier said than done. A few months ago I developed a problem with my hands and saw a local "hand specialist" and that turned out to be a waste of time. So I made the trip to Fort Myers and saw Dr. Richards who spent time reviewing my symptoms and did an complete exam with x-rays and labs and then followed up with me when he got the results. There isn't enough room in this review to tell you how great this man is or how friendly and attentive his staff is. I have been an Orthopaedic PA for over 40 years so I speak from experience when I say you can't find a better upper extremity Orthopedist than Dr. Jeffrey Richards.
Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
