Academy Kennels
My family and I were vacationing in the area (Sanibel Island) and wanted to board our dog somewhere close by and we chose Academy Kennels based on their positive reviews. Our bulldog loved it! She had an indoor / outdoor run, so she could go outside whenever she needed to, they administered her daily medications, took great care of her, and did an awesome job on her bath before we picked her up. We were very pleased with the quality of care they provided for our baby and will definitely use them again if we travel back to Sanibel in the future. Really great staff.

Academy Kennels
Hands down, this is the best kennel in town! 2 different dogs of mine over a span of 10+ years have stayed here and I will come back again and again. They treat the dogs with love and care and respect any "rules" you have as their owners. The staff is always friendly, a vet is close by for emergencies and place is constantly being cleaned. #iloveacademykennels

Academy Kennels
I've been bringing my pets to Academy Kennels for just about 5 years now. I'm very satisfied with the facilities they provide for my dog. The place is indoor-outdoor so there is plenty of room for her to run around and play. Best of all they are very accommodating there.

Academy Kennels is great! My wife and I have used them for a few years now, and the staff is just great. Our dogs get very excited when we drop them off, which makes us happy. We know our dogs are in good hands when we can't be there with them.

Academy Kennels
Academy Kennels loves dogs, and they have extensive knowledge of dogs and their needs. My dog needed medication and they gave it to him in a timely manner. I know my dog is well taken care of. He comes home happy and wagging his tail.

Academy Kennels
When searching for a new vet one of my main concerns was a clean facility I would be bringing my two dogs to. When I found Academy Kennels I knew it was right and I had a professional team of people.

My dog and I both love Academy Kennels! I don't go behind the scenes but I can tell my dog is very happy when he's there, and he never seems ready to leave when I pick him up.

Academy Kennels
What I like most about Academy Kennels is the people that work there. It is clear they make every efforts to answer questions and explain the entire pet training process.

Academy Kennels
We first heard about Academy Kennels from our neighbors who use them. The staff there is friendly and knowledgeable and they love your pets almost as much as you do.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.
