Our car was overheating and it turned out to be the electric fans did not come on. A simple relay fixed the problem. These people were knowledgeable and took the time to explain what work was needed as well as a accurate price. Thank You !

I travel over 70,000 miles/year and for over 3 years now, Jim and his team have done a fantastic job keeping me on the road. I do not buy new vehicles and they have never disappointed me or left me stranded on a highway. Jim tells me like it is and backs up everything his work with support and fair prices.Ken/Clover, SC

Came up from Daytona Beach and purchased a 1986 Toyota pickup.I had to have the carburetor replaced, so I purchased a new carburetor and installed it and did the fine tuning. I was pleased with the work as well as Johnny the owner.I would be highly recommend them.Rick Daytona Beach, Fl

Fort Mill Automotive
First honest mechanic I have found in south Carolina. The people who work there are down to earth. I will only use them from now on for all my mechanic needs. They went above and beyond for me. Awesome job best place in Fort mill for Auto care. You don't find many people like this anymore. They don't see you as a pay day like other places.

Certified Auto Repair Services
Mike and the guys that he has working for him are some of the most honest and reliable people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They not only take care of our company's vehicles but they also take care of my personal car. Their prices can't be beat but more than that I have confidence in the work that they have performed on my car when I drive away. Thanks for the great job!

Contacted this establishment to complete headlight restoration. While initial contact and completion of services was swift, my headlights are anything but restored. Work was performed by hand, without the benefit of any true equipment and film sprayed on headlights was not satisfactory. Calls to the number have not resulted in any response. I would not use or recommend this establishment to anyone truly seeking headlight restoration services. By the way, my check for $50 was cashed less than one hour after the services were performed, which told me I might not be hearing from this company again.

I ve stopped into Carguyz a number of times since I moved to the area a few years back. Have never walked away unhappy. He always gave me the straight scoop on what needed to be done unlike lot of other places that tell you that work is needed when it s really not necessary. You can count on honesty and quality repairs at Carguyz. Have had brake work, exhaust systems, timing belts, Mike even found and installed a replacement radio for our van. I now take all my cars to Mike for all repairs and oil changes.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
