I had a question about a diamond that I have and what it was worth. Never once did they try to sell me anything or take advantage me as did the other six jewelery stores I went into before I came across Carroll's. I came across them because a gemologist on-line sent me a website to the AGS (American Gem Sociey) - and told me I can search for a reputable jeweler who is affiliated with AGS which means well trusted and have the highest standard. Wish I had this info before I had those horrible experience with the other jewelers. Guess what, very few jewelry stores in south florida are AGS affiliated. After all the research I have done, I wouldn't trust any other jewelry stores.
Anyway, not only did the Owner (Bob) took a lot of time to tell me about my diamond, he answered every questions I had, showed me a chart of diamond grading and what prices I should expect to get when I get my AGS report for my diamond. (which is a lot more than what any of those six jewelers offered)
It doesn't hurt to give them a try, I am positive you will come out as happy and satisfied as I was, because you will have a sense of trust with them, and a better understanding of what you are interested in buying. No questions are stupid. Some of the other jewelry stores made me feel that way.
