Ben Parsons - State Farm Insurance Agent
Ben is one of the most knowledgeable insurance agents, if not the most, that I have ever worked with. He helped me understand all of the insurance options that are most applicable to my personal situation. I was looking for life insurance as well as starting to think about retirement. Ben walked through my options very patiently, and explained how my plans would complement what I already have through my employer. We came up with a plan that I could afford, yet would fully cover my needs.Even better, after the plans were in place that was not the last time I heard from Ben and his team. They touch base with me from time to time on how things are going, and are available to answer any questions I have at the drop of a hat. I always thought 'like a good neighbor' was some kind of marketing scheme, but I'm a believer - that's exactly what State Farm strives for through agents like Ben and his team, and it really does feel as though they are there for you whenever needed. I'm confident I made the right choice with Ben Parsons' agency - highly recommended!

Ben Parsons - State Farm Insurance Agent
Ben came to me after opening his new office and I truly could not say no. Not only did he beat my current rates, which I thought were the best, he treated me with the respect I deserved and gained my business. Ben and I had been friends for years and I would never let him insure any of my cars, toys, or houses because he just wasn’t competitive. I hated doing it to a friend, but a dollar is a dollar. Then when he opened his new shop I decided to give him another shot to be nice, and it was actually cheaper! A good deal cheaper also, for better insurance. Then I decided to move my homes, my toys, and now he is even doing my personal retirement planning. I know this review might sound like b.s., but it is the complete truth. Thanks Ben and thanks to everyone at his office that have made this a really easy switch. Also the office was really nice when I went to check out his place, very professional Ben. Great Job! He will tell you about me when you call, I’m not lying.

Insurance Specialists LTD
I have been going to Susan & John for all my insurance needs for 10 years or so and they are the most kind and professional agents I have ever got to do business with. They are always on top of any additional information I might require and have never let me down or not got me the best rate for the coverage I've needed at the time and they are extremely efficient and never waste time and if it's something that can be handled over the phone or online they always give me that option if I don't have time to make it by the office . I have insured 2 motorcycles, 3 atvs, 6 trucks, 1 coupe, 1 sedan and 2 SUVs, so I feel I've definitely put their knowledge to the test and I absolutely love the fact that I know I can depend on them to get me taken care of and to look out for me, even when I forget that my policy needs to be renewed they are on top of it. If you want a local place with real people that care then go down and talk to Susan or John today. Thank you Susan & John

State Farm: Marinda Simpson
Not only did switching to Marinda save us money on our vehicle insurance, but we were able to add a personal umbrella policy for liability to our bundle for next to nothing! They explain everything down to the tiniest detail in terms that the average person with little-to-no insurance knowledge can understand. The time they'll spend to walk you through every possible scenario is priceless. We now have an amazing life insurance policy, car, home, personal articles, and umbrella policy with Marinda and couldn't be happier with our choice to insure ourselves and our belongings with State Farm.

Tips & Advices
A high-risk zone is an area that the Federal government determines is more likely to flood. There are multiple categories of high-risk areas, and the category determines the cost of insurance. Homeowners living in high-risk communities that have opted in to the National Flood Insurance Program are required by law to purchase flood insurance.
The National Flood Insurance Program is the Federal program that insures homeowners, renters, and businesses living in communities that have chosen to participate. Managed by the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), it is sold through private insurance companies. In addition to providing flood insurance, NFIP works to improve floodplain management and to develop flood zone maps.
Yes, businesses can apply for flood insurance coverage through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), sold through private insurance companies.
Other than relocating to a home outside a high-risk zone, flood insurance costs will be lower if a homeowner:
  • -Relocates all utilities to an area above the floodplain elevation, such as an attic.
  • Ensures there are sufficient "flood vents" (foundation openings)
  • Eliminates the crawlspace under the house by backfilling
  • -Elevates the home with flood-resistant posts
Flood insurance premiums are not tax deductible for home unless you use a portion of the home for a business. Flood insurance is tax deductible for an owned rental property.
