ReNew is an excellent company. They made my roof replacement quick and painless and they did a great job with clean up afterwards. They really took the time to explain everything in detail and make sure I was satisfied with the work and my new roof looks and functions great. I would gladly hire them again.

I have called on Roberts Painting twice; and on both occasions I have been so pleased with their work. Their caulk and paint job is the most professional. They have painted ceiling, staircase, hallway, bedrooms and exterior of house. They re-caulked and painted an exterior door that another had botched up and I was so amazed. There is great team work and do a great job of cleaning up as well. They are a 5 star business.

ReNew had great customer service. The Senior Project Manager (Mathias Allison) was very courteous and knowledgeable. He also showed ReNew's credentials and awards from previous years. He inspected the roof and attic, taking pictures of the water damage. The workers were professional, prompt and courteous. They knocked the job out in a day as promised. I'm very pleased with the service and the price for the cost of repair. I would definitely recommend ReNew Home Designs!

The staff at ReNew Home Designs recently did a superb job replacing my old roof, gutters, downspouts, and guards. Their staff arrived on time and courteously answered all my questions. Taking a break only for lunch, they completed the roof tear-off; replaced several sheets of rotted plywood on the roof and rotted wood near the chimney; and completed the new roof in one day. Additional staff replaced the gutters, downspouts, and guards in a couple of hours a few days later. In both cases, the staff cleaned up all litter before leaving my yard. The superior GAF installation materials and procedures not only created a water-tight barrier for my home, but also enhanced its curb–appeal. As an extremely pleased customer, I give ReNew Home Designs the highest possible rating for its roof replacement work. Cheryl Alexander, Derwood, MD, 20855 April 27, 2017

Renew Homes representative was in our neighborhood knocking on doors to see if anyone was interested in any of their services. We were in the market for a new roof and we spoke with the representative and he set up an appointment for a salesman to visit. The appointment was scheduled for the next week. Matthias was our salesman, he was prompt and professional. Mathias gave us their sales pitch and offered to survey our roof. He even inspected in both our attics so that he could note any damaged wood. Matthias was so good in his sales pitch we agreed to have them replace our roof the same night. Once the job was scheduled Renew homes kept in contact with us informing us of the schedule date while watching the weather reports. On the morning of scheduled replacement it rained for about 30-40 minutes. The workers had removed some of the shingles before the rained. The workers assured us that they had covered everything and they did. After the rain stopped they continued to work replacing our roof that day. They did a great job and cleaned after themselves. I highly recommend ReNew Homes for any home improvement projects. I will certainly use them in the future for our up coming window replacements.

ReNew replaced my 24 year old shingled roof. We entertained many quotes for the work and their price was much more reasonable than many companies. Everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. The crew came early, went right to work and a did great job. Everything was finished and cleaned up by 3:00 PM. The roof looks great. I have recommended ReNew and plan to use them in the future.

We solicited 4 bids from different roofing companies and ReNew Home Designs offered the most competitive bid. They offered price matching which was a nice surprise! Their financing options were also very competitive, we ended up financing our project through them.Jared was the rep that came out to give us our quote, he was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond. Unlike 2 other companies that came out, Jared went into both of our attics to assess whether we would need any of the wood sheets replaced. While he was up there, he made his way through the insulation to replace our burned-out light bulbs. He even helped us push our vehicle out of the garage so that he could gain access to our garage attic, and then he pushed it back in. He was just a genuine person, he did not feel “salesy” like the other reps that came out. The company overall was very responsive and kept us posted on any delays that were caused by inclement weather. On installation day 6-7 men arrived at exactly 8:30 and went to work non-stop until about 3:00 pm. They spread tarp around the entire perimeter of our home ensuring that they would catch all debris from our old roof. Everyone was very respectful and upbeat, they seemed to be a great team. From the time of our estimate to the completion of the project, only 2 weeks passed. This is probably unusually fast, but given that we did our roof in January the company was very flexible with our immediate needs. When I had questions, the other companies had me chase them down for answers. ReNew Home Designs was prompt to respond from the beginning to the end. That to me is huge, I doubt that I’ll have issues with my new roof, but if I do, at least I know that I can get a hold of them. Following installation, we received a call from the VP, Justin, to ensure we were satisfied. We recommend ReNew Home Designs for your roofing needs. We will eventually need new windows for our home, ReNew will definitely be the first call that we make.

We entertained several quotes to replace our 22 year old roof. ReNew matched the best price and had superior materials. the crew showed up at 7:45 am and by 3 pm we had a beautiful new roof and all clean-up was complete. We've recommend ReNew to a neighbor and a co-worker.
Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
