Dean, Kevin C, DDS
I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Dean. He did a great job and was very personable , answered all my questions before the surgery and was very professional, called me the evening of the surgery to check on my recovery. His staff was also nice and professional. The only bad experience I had was with his receptionist who called me the day before my surgery and told me to make sure I bring all my medications with me on the day of my surgery because she needed to go over with me. When I brought my prescription bottles she said she will call pharmacy and check on the refills. She said I need a refill on antibiotic (which I didn't) She was acting a little loopy but I was so nervous and anxious before my surgery that I didn't think much of it but when I got home and it was time to take my pain medication I realized that half of it was missing. After this experience I still highly recommend Dr Dean but don't bring your prescription bottles to his receptionist!!!! I give only 2 stars because I think medical professional should have more trustworthy people on the staff

I'm glad I found this dentist, after a move from Tennessee!!!I found Dr. Alan Allgood by reading all the positive reviews, while searching for a dentist in my area. The office is modern, efficient, clean and friendly. Today, I had a tooth extraction, along with a filing. What a great job performed, with absolutely no pain, or discomfort. I love the atmosphere in the office; the staff are engaging, helpful and and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Alan Allgood, and his staff. The dental hygienists are also outstanding!!! I'd like to give kudos to Carrie, Lorie, and Elizabeth. A 5-star experience!

I had an excellent experience getting my wisdom teeth removed on 8/16/2013. He listened when I told him that most medication makes me sick and not once did I get sick during recovery. He was very personable and called me that night to check in. Within 4 days I was eating almost solid foods and today marks a week and I am completely over the procedure. The staff was very nice as well. I highly recommend Dr. Dean.

Hart Dayton DMD
It had been over 10 years since I had seen a dentist and I was feeling rather anxious and uncomfortable until I walked into your office! Every person from reception to cleaning was so kind and made me feel welcome and comfortable. I have already recommended your services to friends and will be making an appointment for my husband soon! Thank you so much for giving me back my smile! :)

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
