Chism's Cleaners
I gave these guys a one because there was no zero. I dropped off a pair of curtains and pointed out that they weren't "dirty" but that overnight guests had apparently touched the curtain with some kind of food item. There were some small spots and in the center of one of the spots was a swipe that looked like cake frosting. I specifically pointed out the spots to the girl that was receiving the panels. I don't know if it is common to do so but she measured the two panels and said they charge per square footage. The bill came to 49.50 (probably the most I have EVER paid for curtain cleaning). Then I was told it would be a week before they were ready because they have to ship them off. I picked the curtains up about 30 minutes ago and looked for the stains before leaving. Yep...same stains and even the 'frosting" was still on the panel. She keep assuring me that the curtains had been cleaned so I offered to let her actually touch the food (which could clearly be scratched off with my fingernail). She agreed but still keep saying that the curtains had been cleaned. I told her I wanted a refund and she refused stating that Chism's had a policy that if stains could not be removed, there was no refund. I pointed out that these weren't stains but actual food that apparently I could have wiped off with a damp rag. She offered to send them off again but I refused, pointing out that the cleaners had already been shown the spots and had not cleaned them the first time. I paid for the panels and told her I was going to use social media to let everyone know about my experience and I took photos to prove this. I just received a call from her (again) where she stated that I could still let them reclean them but the offer was up after today. Now I am being given a deadline to accept their "deal". What a waste of money!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

The customer service at Chism's is terrible. They do things the way they like and is convenient for them. They aren't interested in what you like or what you need. All you are is just another customer, and there's more where you came from. At Chism's, the customer is always wrong.

Chism's Cleaners
I work at a business that uses this company for our guest’s dry cleaning needs. Usually we don't have a problem. But on one instance, a guest’s clothes came back smelling like cigarette smoke. I figured it was the guest that smoked, so I let it go. When the guest checked out a week later, he complained and refused to pay for the dry cleaning, which was understandable. When I tried to resolve the issue with the one hour dry cleaners, the first lady I talked to (Sharon) didn't seem interested in what I had to say at all. She told me I would have to speak with the owner the following day. By the time he finally called me back, he was very defensive and refused to believe that this ever happened. He stated he needed proof or that we should've let them re clean the clothes. Why would a guest want to send his clothes off again after that experience?! AJ refused to refund that one order and after arguing for 30 minutes and threatening to move our business elsewhere, he finally agreed to take it off “THIS ONE TIME!”. I didn’t get an apology or anything. What kind of customer service is that??

Chism's Cleaners
Learned a very valuable lesson this past weekend. When dropping off clothes to be pressed by a dry cleaner, especially CHISM'S, I should have had the attendant not only write the day of pick-up, but the time of pick-up as well. I was told to pick-up my items 'Anytime after 3pm' on Sat, Sept., 28th, '13. My response was... "I will be here at exactly 3pm, my son and his group of friends will be taking pictures for homecoming". The lady, Norma, I believe her name is, nodded and said 'Fine'. Showed up at 3pm...doors closed. Yes, the items I dropped off were his clothes for homecoming. Owner declined to accept responsibility for the problem that occurred on his end with his employee. Will NEVER use them again nor EVER recommend their services to anyone. It's very unfortunate because I feel this company has done something right to stay in business for so long, but to not take care of the mistake that took place on their end could end up costing them in the long run. I doubt anyone I know of would like to be 'stuck' without their outfit for a school dance or other important event. Thank goodness it was only Homecoming and not a Wedding. Notifying BBB next. Hopefully this situation can be avoided in the future. -MM***only gave 1 star because site would not accept 0/5 stars. negative should be an option.

Just a moment...
