I am so upset right now with this group. My mother has been in pain all day and was told to call if she is bleeding and in so much pain-Well she is and she has called several times today and no one has gotten back to her. How do you not get back to a patient who is in that much pain and has called several times. Shame on you!!!!!!!! I can't get over how unprofessional and uncaring....if i could give zero stars i would.

Health Point Family Care
I have visited twice at Healthpoint and unfortunately the staff services continue to be unprofessional and customer service is horrible. The front desk staff do not greet you instead give uninviting looks if they're present when entering. The staff also have personal conversations as well talk about patients and their children with rude remarks and laughs. I feel they were very disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. I believe they need training in customer services and how to be professional. I work in the same field and this would not be tolerated. I visited at 3pm on a Wednesday and its usually the same staff members. I will no longer visit this Healthpoint and will spread the word.

The review is solely based on wait time. Three years in a row I waited at least 45 minutes after my appointment start time to be let into a room, and then once there had to wait an additional 20-30 minutes for an appointment that only lasts 10. Such a time killer.

Health Point Family Care
Went here for a miscarriage to keep up with my hcg levels which was a emotional time for me. My hcg levels were going up during a suspected miscarriage and was told that was normal!!?? Which it definitely isn't that could be life threatening .And that i didn't need to contact the office. ! The front desk lady treated me horribly and didn't give me any direction. My doctor never asked me to reschedule an appointment to follow up so i requested online to reschedule from the website and to this day i still never got any reply!!!!. So i switched my primary care to another doctor from another practice and health point wouldn't even get back with him to give him my results. I do not recommend you go to the Florence health point if you are looking for people to care for you and your health. Worst experience in my life. I never write reviews but i thought that this was really important to get out.

Daugherty, Joseph F, MD
I highly recommend Dr. Daugherty! He is an amazing physician and his staff is wonderful. I've been with this practice for several years now and haven't experience anything but the best treatment I could ever ask for, Thanks Daugherty Medical Group for everything.Rachel;
Tips & Advices
  • Talk about specific consequences of their drinking.
  • Choose a time soon after the person experiences a drinking-related problem (missing a shift at work, for example).
  • Do not threaten, guilt, lecture, preach, or use negative labels.
  • Do not try to discuss alcoholism when the person is intoxicated.
Therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists who specialize in the condition can all diagnose and treat alcoholism. People with alcohol-related concerns can also consult their general practitioner, who will refer them to a specialist.
Detoxification is a medically supervised period of alcohol withdrawal to allow the body to purge itself. A doctor or treatment specialist closely monitors a patient to ensure the symptoms of withdrawal do not cause harm. Side effects of alcohol detoxification include:
  • Sweating
  • Vomiting
  • Elevated heart rate
  • High blood pressure
  • Tremors
  • Nausea
  • Sleep issues
  • Paranoia or anxiety
  • Hallucinations
  • Seizures
The cost of addiction treatment varies depending on the type of facility, amenities offered, treatment provided, and size and length of the program. Detoxification ranges from $1,000 to $15,000. Inpatient facilities cost anywhere from $6,000 to $30,000 for a 30-day program and include detoxing. Outpatient programs can cost $500 per session.
Outpatient alcoholism treatment is a part-time form of rehabilitation. Patients continue their normal lives during the day and return to the treatment facility several times per week. Outpatient treatment is generally cheaper than inpatient and can be helpful for people with less severe addictions. Inpatient treatment programs require patients to stay at the facility 24/7 until the completion of the program. They provide a highly controlled environment for patients to overcome their addictions without the distractions or temptations of everyday life. These clinics provide round-the-clock medical care and often include hours of group and personal therapy. Inpatient programs are beneficial for people with severe addictions or those who have overdosed.
