NextCare Urgent Care
While visiting in the area, I became quite ill. Unfamiliar with medical assistance here, I looked for a walk in style urgent care. I used the NextCare WAHOO service (Wait At Home Or Office) to book a time and was given a text message when to arrive. Within the hour I got a text advising me to come in. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly by "George" . He could not have been any nicer and was very helpful ensuring my documentation was correct. 10 minutes later ."Amanda" came out and brought me in to the exam room for screening. Shortly there after, PA-C Kerry Clancy came in and was incredibly thorough. "Sarah" assisted me through some testing that went very efficiently. A short time later I was back at the front desk and heading out the door with all my documentation.Very rarely do medical facilities get reviewed. I must say using the WAHOO as opposed to walking in and getting on line was very helpful. The staff at this location is top notch, very professional and very understanding.

NextCare Urgent Care
I don't understand all the bad reviews here, but notice that they're from years back. I've brought my grown son here a couple times, and have been bringing my (89 yr old) mom for maybe four years. (She has tricare/medicare) Yes, there's been times when they were backed up due to flu season; I think our longest wait time was 3 hrs. Whatever problems there were that people gave them a one star and bad review, from my experiences there, it's been resolved. The staff is professional, ultra nice and caring. Depending on the reason for the visit, they also made checkup calls. Even on the bad days, Nextcare is preferable to waiting 8+ hrs at the Cape Fear hosp ER, and I'm not kidding. I've also seen plenty of soldiers there; if Nextcare was as bad as the reviews say, the soldiers wouldn't be coming in. When my mom needs to see a doc right away, I bring her to Nextcare.

NextCare Urgent Care
New to the area and needed an after hours clinic ASAP. After reading the previously posted reviews, I was skeptical, but this was the only after hours care I found open in the area. I was pleasantly surprised - very caring staff and attentive to my needs. Although there was not an empty chair in the waiting room, I was seen in just a little over an hour! Seemed to be knowledgable of all insurance types, (including Tricare) as I did not observe any other patients having any problems. I will definitely use Nextcare again if the need arises.

Owen Drive Children's Clinic
This pediatrics practice has all of the services one would expect from a professional pediatric clinic. The facility is furnished with various amenities which made my children very comfortable. Dr. Nasiri is a very intelligent man who is extremely easy to get along with. He has always made my children laugh and provides very thorough and effective care. I recommend Dr. Nasiri and Owen Drive Children's Clinic to anyone seeking pediatric care and services.

FastMed Urgent Care
I was her pleased with the care I received at Fast Med last week. The doctor was very caring, efficient and fast at diagnosing my issue. She knew I needed to be referred to another provider and the doctor got me an appointment with the second provider the same day. Yes I waited one hour to be seen, but the service and care I received was well worth the wait. I would highly recommend this facility.

US HealthWorks
Totally appreciated the service they provided...Everyone was very customer service oriented unlike Medical Arts Family practice. Although facility was colder than outside. The customer service made me feel warm and appreciated

FastMed Urgent Care
The name for this urgent care is misleading. It is listed as FastMed but it should be SlowMed. Your estimated wait time ranges from an hour and thirty minutes to three hours. Overall rating - 2/10

Northside Urgent Care
Terrible new office manager. They lie about charges for self pay patients. The office manager is rude and ghetto. Good luck with getting simple refills!
Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
