Axis Roofing
Everything told to us sounded great. Salesman was polite and friendly. Things did not start going sour until the work had begun. The foreman allowed a total stranger onto my roof and handed over a nail-gun for him to use. The stranger did not work for the company. I did not know who he was, nor did anyone on the crew. When the salesman was informed, he thought it was more funny then a serious breach of liability. He had a good laugh about it. I wasn't laughing. Then, when time to pay my deductible, the people who were to accept credit card payment over the phone had no idea of who I was, what job, or even how much I owed. No very professional. Just goes to show, a glib tongue does not always mean a job well done. Though must admit, the work turned out well. Clean up was better then expected. Just the lack of professional responsibility left me with a very bitter taste. Sadly, I would NOT recommend Axis Roofing.

Tips & Advices
The most common types of roofing material are:
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Metal roofing
  • Slate shingles
  • Concrete roofing
Metal roofing material and algae-resistant asphalt shingles are the appropriate roofing material for rainy climates.
Houses located in  areas which are prone to wildfires, should avoid the use of flammable roofing materials such as wood shingles.
Not only should you ask to get in contact with past clients, it is also recommended that  homeowners visit projects currently underway to see how the contractor or company actually performs during a job. You can also go online and check out other customer reviews.
Reputable roofers do offer a warranty against poor workmanship. Additionally, the material used often carries a warranty from the manufacturer against defects (assuming proper installation). It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check on the availability of all such warranties before any work is performed.
