I had a really big issue with my new purchase having leaks from an old copper pipe running down to the septic connection. I was serviced by Mr. Larry, I showed him a few pictures of my issues (he started speaking plumbing talk) and within 2min he prefabricated the necessary pvc pipes needs. He was very well mannered, educated and professional. Highly recommended and made me feel at ease.

I was scheduled for a visit on a Friday, no one showed up, called and was told "my guys" forgot sorry. So I was nice about it, things happen. Monday my hot water in the shower blows and leaks all over. They come out but bring the wrong parts. They tell me they have to go get the right ones and are gone all of 5 minutes. I question that and they said there was no traffic. The partially got the leak to stop but put in the wrong brand parts and they were not fitting. They quoted us $1000 to put a whole in the shower wall to fix the problem. This was not necessary, another plumber fixed it in 10 minutes by using the correct brand of parts. They charged me $100 and I still had a leak and they were here 6 hours. Not competent at all. Would never use again, feel was took for $100!

Come by, said needed to order part and left. Bass plumber did not cut off water properly before he left so it flooded the bathroom and adjoining bonus room. Refused to take responsibility and never came back. $10,000 repair.

Promised a hot water heater. Waited 3 days to find he cannot install. Technician failed to notice details that prevented the needed installation because he was in a hurry to SELL!

1.) A lady called to set up the appointment, she stated that the service worker would be out between 10-12. At 12:30, I called to check the status of their arrival and was told they would be out between 10-2. The service worker arrived at 1:55 pm. (That should have been a red flag at that moment)2.) When I showed him the first faucet, the guys says "$*@!, its a Moen". The he proceeds to tell me he doesn't like fixing Moen faucets. 3.) I showed him the 2nd Moen faucet & he says that I have to pay to have it replaced and that he can do that. I said well the home warranty AHS covers that. He said that they didn't. I told him to hold on while I call AHS to verify. As I am calling AHS, this guy jumps in his truck and leaves. The AHS rep confirms that normal wear and tear on faucets that cannot be fixed, can be replace and is covered by my warranty. This guy was looking to have me pay him cash so he could pocket the money. I am pretty sure they would have billed AHS, as well.

I can not say enough about this company. People were very professional and listened to our concerns. We had a well issue, and they came ASAP. My husband said Tuggy was knowledgeable and found the problem in no time. He fixed our pipes and even gave us some tips. We closed on our home a week earlier, but now we know who to call for any of our future plumbing issues. The price was very affordable. These people were so kind, and I would refer them to anyone. Big thanks!

We had this contractor assigned through American Home Shield home warranty company. When I called him saying we have water on the floor, he told me to turn off the water and he will come in 3 days. Next day I called him and canceled, and guess what happened? He showed up in 3 days, and now he is demanding a $75 service fee and AHS is not willing to back me up on this, saying I have to take it up with him. This guy is so rude and unprofessional... I could probably give you all the details, but instead I'll just say STAY AWAY, no good comes from greedy people like that.

Failed to complete the job. Not very professional. Unhappy with warranty service and extraneous fees.

Came out and did the work which turned out they did not fix. Called them back and was told "we don't guarantee our work"
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
