Tire One Inc
Tire One is absolutely the place you want to go. I have many examples, but the one example I will use, is I had a clunking sound coming from the rear suspension area. I went to three places which all wanted to change out my shocks, struts and stabilizer bar which would be costing above $500. I took my car to D.J. and he had his man Robert look at it. He raised the boot over my shocks and noticed a loose bolt...He tightened it solving the issue saying my rear suspension was just fine. It cost me nothing...How many places can you say does that?? How many places of business that you know that we are totally at their mercy because we don't have the knowledge, know how or tools... Would actually be looking out for us as if we were their best friend or family member? I totally recommend D.J. and his highly professional, knowledgeable and definitely talented team to honestly assess your individual situation and fix it at the lowest cost around for the same repair nomatter what it is. as far as Katy's experience... Welcome to a real garage...its supposed to be a little dirty... If you want spot and shiny clean...go to Good Year, or Sears...and pay about $100 more than Tire One. Get your priorities straight. your tire in the trunk...if you don't know how to get it back in the seating...have your boyfriend or dad do it for you...geez...

Discount Tire
Im not sure why the other reviewers have such negatives to say. I have been using this location for many years now, maybe 15 years? I have bought tires for 3-4 different vehicles, both passenger cars and 4x4 trucks). I have never had any problems. They have always done exactly as expected and often have gone above and beyond. Whenever it comes to tires, this DT is the first place that comes to mind and the first place to look. I have shopped around each time I have needed tires and/or custom wheels and they have been the winner of my business every single time with the best prices, the best selections, often handing out unadvertised manufacturer discounts that get you a better tire for equal of less money and of course I have never had issues with regular service following the installs such as repairs or rotations or inflations ect. I highly recommend this store.

Nick's Auto Repair
Kristine L., 12/15/2014We have been taking our cars to Nick's auto now for a couple of years. Both foreign and domestic from model years 2001 through 2011. Bought out my foreign lease because I knew I could take the car to Nick's for maintenance at a fair price, instead of the dealer and paying crazy prices on parts I may not really need. Nick will give you the straight up answer and tell you exactly what the issue is with the car. He is trust worthy and honest. He will tell you what you need to be safe, and what can wait. Your car will not be stuck there, he gets cars in and out same day, or as fast as possible. His team is equally great, and shares the same honest talent for cars and engines that Nick does!

Ethan's Auto Repair
I went to Ethan's on a Saturday when my check engine light came on. They were the only people near me who were open so I took a shot. I was told I needed a vacuum tube replaced and an oil change. I was told they could get the tube ordered by Monday and I could bring my car back then. I brought my car in on Monday morning before hours and picked my car up after work. I was so impressed with how they worked with me and made it as fast and convenient as possible. My bill came out under 100 dollars and I found the service to be honest and down to earth. I plan to bring my car here from now on!

Pennzoil 10 minute oil change
quick, easy, and fast!! Very good and honest people, and its nice because it is a family business and the father and son team who run it are very nice people. They have never sold me anything I haven't needed on my vehicles. My family has 5 vehicles and we take them all to RTO. the oil change really takes 10 minutes and you cant beat it for twenty dollars. They aren't overpriced like a lot of the other guys in the area, and they are always willing to work with you. All I can say is keep up the good work Bob and Bobby, I will remain a loyal customer for the rest of my life!!!

Ethan's Auto Repair
We were visiting relatives in Farmington Hills from Chicago when our AC was fritzy in the middle of this summer.Called from the road to see if they were going to be busy (we went to Ethan's before to get a rear view mirror reattached and a check up before selling a car) - and they said their schedule was clear for the weekend. Stopped in on Saturday without making an appointment (I might have called that morning), and they identified a leaky valve and topped of the refrigerant while I waited in about an hour. Total cost...under $100 (it was a little while ago).

D & J Auto Service
I drove in from the west side of the state to look at purchasing a pre-owned SUV from a Farmington Hills auto dealership. Not knowing anyone locally, I drove around on a Saturday hoping to find an independent mechanic that might have time to inspect the vehicle. John dropped what he was doing to look the car over. He checked the engine, thoroughly examined the body for any signs of past body work and test drove the vehicle with me. He offered good, unbiased advice both on the SUV and on working with the dealership.

Nick's Auto Repair
Nick is one of the most honest auto experts that I know. There have been several times where I have gone to him and thought I needed to spend a lot to get my car fixed based on someone else's recommendation, and he would tell me the truth and tell me to hold off. I trust his judgement when it comes to car repairs. It's good to know that there are trustworthy mechanics out there!

Barry's Auto Tech, Inc.
Outstanding. All I can say is that if you are looking for a good auto repair shop, look no further, call them and setup an appointment now. They are honest, trustworthy and fair. You will definitely be a return customer. I was reffered by several people I know that have been going there for years. They are the best!
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
