Don's Plumbing LLC
I had the opportunity to work with Jerry, and his customer service was absolutely incredible. We had a pretty severe leak and clogged sink coming from our main bathroom. He was able to fix the clog and the leak and give me quotes on two other jobs all in 40 minutes. These guys were referred to me and I would definitely recommend them as well!

These folk ignored three reports that my window was leaking badly. When they finally came, they did nothing. They owe me a security deposit and half a month's rent. They acknowledge that they owe me the security deposit and hem and haw about the half month rent. A week ago they claimed my check was in the mail, that it was sent on the 16th. Today is the 25th. Go figure.

Great customer service, grounds are well maintained, and my questions are always answered in a reasonable time period. I have rented from JM for the last six years and have no plans to relocate as they have great rent prices and quality properties. The bad reviews listed here are apparently due to lack of understanding when it comes to renting and lack of understanding a lease agreement. Highly recommend JM Rentals.

First International Bank & Trust
I reached out to First International Bank & Trust requesting funding for the NODAPL movement, and was rudely ignored.I find it difficult to believe that a financial institution doesn't have time or money to assist the efforts of the Standing Rock Water Protectors.Ashamed,Bruce Bondy-Water Protector

Valley Plumbing
Said they'd stop out to fix a leaky pipe, never showed. Called them the next day, they quickly hung up on me. Called the following day, 3 times, they wouldn't answer.

Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
  • Don't use your toilet or kitchen sink like a trash can by stuffing hard to flush material down the drain or pouring fats and oils down the pipe.
  • Throw coffee grounds and eggshells in the garbage instead of in your sink.
  • Only use your toilet to flush human waste and toilet paper
  • Before calling a plumber, try to unclog your drains and toilets yourself by using a plunger.
  • Make sure you use a standard bell-shaped plunger for your sink and shower drains and a plunger with a flanged end for your toilets.
  • If neither type can loosen the pipe blockage, put a plumber's snake to use.
  • Ratchet the snake down the pipe to eliminate any clogs.
  • Be mindful of how much water you use in your bathroom, kitchen and even outdoors when watering your lawn.
  • Make sure your toilet handle works properly and doesn't stick.
  • Replace old shower heads with more efficient low-flow options that can cut down on the gallons of water you use each morning.
  • Turning off the water while you brush your teeth
  • Only running your dishwasher or clothes washer when you have a full load.
To keep yourself safe from fraud or a possible scam, always remember to ask plumbers for their license along with a written warranty for their labor. Besides this, further safeguard yourself by checking their references and ensure they or their company is insured and bonded to do their work.
