Red River Drywall & Painting Services Inc
Red River Drywall completed our brand new Heritage home in 2009. We moved into the home in Jan 2011. Red River drywall was contacted before moving into the home for numerous drywall repairs. You could see every seam in the home, the tape is falling off the walls, and the corner beading is exposed. Red River drywall has been in our home three separate times to perform repairs. The last time they entered our home, we were on vacation for nine days. I came home to my house a disaster. Drywall mud footprints stuck to my entry carpet, and all over hardwood floor. My kitchen sink had drywall mud stuck to the sides of it along with my granite counter top being sprayed with drywall texture. There were waves in the ceilings and walls. We tried to remedy this problem through the builder Heritage Homes this was a big mistake.****************************************** We were lucky enough to have the owner of Red River Drywall to come to one of the meeting with Heritage Homes. The owner of Red River requested we cut through all of the red tape and just work directly with him. Since working directly with the owner of Red River drywall I can't say enough good things. Red River has bent over backwards to ensure everything has been fixed correctly and on our schedule. John, Kyle, Patrick and the rest of the crew have been great to work with and have stood up for their product. THANK YOU RED RIVER FOR MAKING THINGS RIGHT!!!!!!

Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
