I purchased my first car here. Sam my sales person was full of knowledge about the different models of Accord. Finance was awesome they worked with Sam in finding a model of Accord that fit in my budget and had the important features I desired in my 2012. They made the whole process comfortable and answered every one of my questions fully. I didn't feel overwhelmed or even as a woman taken. I researched carefully the price for my vehicle I wanted and found they offered the best deal in price and finance rate for the DC metro area. I have since had 3 oil changes in there service department and currently use Keith Derrickson as my advisor. He is awesome and I would highly recommend him! He is complete, follows up after I leave to concerns I have raised during my visits. I would highly recommend this dealership both in sales and service to anyone looking for a great deal, or having your vehicle serviced with a worry free feeling. I have also purchased accessories for my Accord from the parts department, and they seem to have a great inventory of parts and accessories. If they don't have it in stock Jim the parts manager and his staff goes above and beyond to locate the part fast where you can get it the same day or the next day if you need it in a rush.

Had a really good salesman named Donnie, but a full month after i had purchased the vehicle i was contacted by the finance dept. telling me there was a $98 difference in the payoff info they obtained, and the only way i could get my tags was to pay this. Since they are the ones responsible for getting the payoff info, and i had financed a vehicle for over $18k, and the car i traded they only gave me $10K for it but had sold it for $17k, i felt that since it was their mistake that they should eat that cost. Regardless i couldn't get my tags until i paid. So i did. Do not recommend this dealer to purchase a car,

I am finally driving after having an accident. My insurance did not pay me much since I owed a lot. I must have went to 6 different places until I came to Mckay and it was worth the drive. As soon as I came in, I noticed a busy showroom. But there were plenty of salesmen and all friendly. My issue was that I did not have a big down payment, but I did not want an old car. Since I did not have a car to trade, they worked with my small down payment and a lender that gave covered most of the car. I owe them my job because another week of looking and I would have lost my job. Thanks everyone at Mckay Chevrolet.

Main Street’s best car dealers offering reliable cars at affordable prices in city of Fairfax. A highly trained and experienced staff caring the needs of each individual with paramount concern. They have an updated online inventory and also offer easy installments plans for financing. Their online customer service agents need to respond queries promptly. I inquired about a new car from them about its specifications and price. I emailed twice and even called on phone. I got a response one week later even though the car was in their inventory the whole time.

You all are the best dealership I have ever been to. From the time I came in to the time my financing was approved everyone was very very patient and helped me get all the documents I needed to get my car. The BMW is super clean and in this hot weather the air conditioning is a treat. I really like the a.c. of the BMWs. Also my interest rate is the lowest I have ever financed thanks to the many choices and numbers of places your finance guys called. I will definitely come back to you when I want to trade my new BMW.

Jim Mackay uses lots of lenders so when I got turned down by two other dealers, they used my last year income plus my previous application and got me approved with a half percent higher interest rate. I am not building my credit and hope to be able to trade up with a more expensive and possibly new car in six months. They did the same thing for my neighbor.

I have had a great experience in purchasing a car from here. They have been very straightforward and honest about the vehicle, and I found it to be in great shape. The purchase went smoothly and hardly took any time at all. I would recommend anyone to purchase a car here. In fact, I plan on taking some of their business card to work.

My experience with this dealership was great. My salesperson was very helpful and not too pushy on the sale. He was very considerate of my financial situation and got me the best deal on the vehicle. I would and have recommended Jim McKay Chevrolet to friends and family. Thank you to all associates at Jim McKay.

I had a relatively minor service done ( oil change, tire rotation, safety and emissions inspection). All was done in a reasonable time, additional items for repair were indentified (they always are). I really like the new showroom and waiting area. Your remodeling made waiting much more pleasant. Thanks.

It would be very hard to a better dealership than Jim Mckay Chevrolet. They had me in a new car about 2 days after I started looking for one. They even drove my new car to meet me in springfield at my work. They made it easy to buy a car and got me good deal. I would recommend this dealer to anyone.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
