After Disaster Restoration Services
I wanted to take this opportunity to recognized a company that really came through for me and my family. In August of 2016, my house was involved in a fire and we were devastated until we met with the owner of After Disaster Restoration Services Mr. Blackstone who explained to us the services that he offered, and from that point on our mind was at eased and he went into action. Mr. Blackstone and his crew went to work and they worked diligently to make sure my home was repaired and put back together by Thanksgiving has was promised to me and my family. Mr. Blackstone is a minority in a business that is dominated by Caucasian and he handled his business well and came through for me and my family. This was my first time using an African American contractor and I was amazed of his knowledge and insight pertaining to how everything was going to happen. I am pleased with the services that After Disaster Restoration Services has provided and anyone that says anything different is attempting to assassinate Mr. Blackstone character because it is a witch hunt from his peers who feels that he does not belong in this a dominant industry, but who are you to say who belong. Sincerely: A very grateful and thankful customer.

Restorpro By Peroni
We had Peroni's re-upholster a rocking chair that I put in my Master Bedroom. I re-did the room and wanted a classic fabric. The chair was in pretty bad shape especially after the puppy got to it. Peroni's did an immpecable job, quality of the work is outstanding. They even made matching re-inforced covers for the chair so our dog could still lay in it without damaging it. I would recommend them to anyone!
Tips & Advices
Signs of hidden water damage include:
  • Standing or pooling water
  • Foul odor
  • Texture changes
  • Discoloration
  • Clearwater is clean water with no solids. It includes water generated by air conditioning units and water that goes down the drain while the faucet heats.
  • Greywater refers to all other form of waste water except for toilet water. It possibly contains hair, soap particles, cooking byproducts and flakes of skin. Areas that have been damaged by grey water are at a mild risk of contamination.
  • Blackwater is water that has come into contact with urine or fecal matter. Toilet water is considered blackwater. Blackwater can contain pathogens and is usually considered a biohazard.
Water damage restoration is a process where water-damaged areas are dried, sanitized, and rebuilt.
Home insurance sometimes covers water damage from storm-related accidents. However, most plans do not cover damage resulting from lack of maintenance or floods. For the latter, homeowners should purchase flood insurance.
Regular maintenance will reduce the risk of water damage.
  • Clean and maintain gutters so rainwater flows properly. Direct downspouts away from the house.
  • Repair any roof damage.
  • Use drain snakes to clean clogs. Chemical cleaners erode pipes.
  • Do not place outdoor plants with invasive roots near pipes, septic tanks, sprinkler systems, or drainage fields.
  • Make note of the water bill. A sudden, random spike in charges could indicate a leak.
