AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care
I moved here from Southern California last year and last winter my car stopped working on the road. The owner happened to be on the road with his Aamco truck and safely got me off the road. He took great care of me and installed a battery and a new computer board into my car (I have a fifteen year old car, and I needed those things) and gave me a ride back to my residence. Months later, my shifter linkage broke. I went back to him and he did everything he could to try to fix it as cheaply as possible, trying numerous bushings to prevent me from having to replace the entire shifter cable part. He was unable to find a fit, and i know he felt badly for me about having to go the next step up, but I know he charged me as little as he could for having to do the repair he did. He worked within my budget and I know what he did for me was a Godsend and a huge favor. He didn't try and "milk" me or try and get me to get parts I didn't need. He stuck to the shifter cable situation only and in this day and age, finding someone who tries the cheapest solution first is a huge blessing. One of his employees drove me home on one of my other repairs and I could tell that by what the employee was saying, this is a genuine person who really tries to help other people out.

Rideout's Transmission Repair Inc
I am a business owner in las Vegas and had a trans on our 2007 dodge 3500 lose the torque converter. The trans had 9000 mile on it from my local shop. We got towed to Aramco which quoted us a 3100.00 for a swap out trans. My local shop asked for some tests to determin what the problem was. And were in able to do...Tow driver recommended us to the boys at rideout..These guys know what there doing. Did test as I requested and we had a convertor failure which took out pump and trans needed a full over haul. $1000 cheaper than Aramco and showed me step by step..did also a few upgrades and got us back on the road in 2 days. After we got back on the road I was extremely satisfied with there performance. Trans has never shifted this well. and we work this truck hard pulling a 3 car wedge at an average of 26k lbs. Thanks guys for the fast and quality work. Midwest Truck & Trailer
I appreciate them getting me in and getting my trailer lights fixed and the work was good they got my lights and brakes working. But they did not listen to me when I dropped the trailer off to when the problem started after a blown tire which I showed them where the wire was disconnected from the trailer light. They spent hours looking for the wire that was grounding out my trailer and in the end it was in the junction box by the tires. So of course my bill was twice as much as it should have been and if they would have started there it would have all been good and they would have gotten 5 stars but I feel that I was screwed on price and was blown off when I wanted to discuss why the bill was so much. Lesson learned will never return or recommend the business to anyone.

Super Service Center
The water pump on our truck blew on the interstate at 10:00 am. We called AAA and Super Service Center. They were closing at noon since it was Saturday and closed on Sunday, but said they would stick around a get us back on the road. It took 3 1/2 hours to get a tow to the center. They waited for us, fixed the truck, did a great job and were as nice as they could be. I would not have been at all surprised if they would have gone home but I am extremely impressed and appreciative that they stayed. I even tried to give them a tip and they wouldn't take it, I wish we had service techs with this level of integrity and customer service in Kansas City. Thanks again for getting us back on the road!!!

Do It Right Transmission
I had received a diagnosis on my car from a dealership for replacing the transmission and alternator. Given the age and miles on my car I was thinking I would have to junk it since the money for the work came to about $3500. I heard about Do It Right from a friend and decided to check them out for a second opinion. They looked at the car and said that the transmission is fine and that the problem was the battery and alternator. My car was fixed and is running great without having to pay lots of money to replace the transmission. The staff is wonderful and explained clearly to me what was wrong with the car. I highly recommend everyone to take their vehicles to Do It Right Transmission!

Bowen Auto Services
We were given an estimate of nearly $500 by an automotive and tire chain business here in town. We decided to give Kevin at Bowen''s a call. He completed the work the next morning for under $40. When we left we encountered what we thought was a problem with the work and they didn't hesitate to say they'd pay for a tow truck to come get us. Turned out we figured it out and it was nothing and everything was done corrdctly so we didn't need a tow, but what great people to do business with! We couldn't be any more pleased.

Raben Tire and Auto Service
Vocational Rehab required me to have my 2015 Equinox inspected by an ASE certified mechanic before installing a lift for my wife's scooter. The rehab counselor said it should take roughly 30-60 minutes and cost about $35. Instead it took over 1 1/2 hours and cost $142!! That included no repairs (since the vehicle passed), just the inspection checklist. We will NOT be returning to Raben for any work in the future. If an inspection costs that much, I'd hate to think what they would charge us for any needed repair work!

Speedy Oiler East Inc.
Speedy Oiler is the best oil place in town!!! They never try to upsell you on any of their products like air filters and are always honest with you about the parts that need to be fixed and how much longer you could go without fixing them. My starter went out yesterday and I took my car there at 5:00 they had it fixed and ready for me to pickup by 11:00 a.m. They are just amazing!!!!!

Midwest Truck & Trailer
Excellent work, walk-in or appointment. Fair pricing and they do it all in one place. Metal siding on trailers, brakes and engine repair. Wire trailers for commercial trucks and privately owned. Construction equipment, hydrolics, services and DOT inspections. Definitely call for Shelly in the office or Adam. Friendly and locally owned.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
