Jr's Euless Transmission & Complete Auto Service,LLC
Tl;dr: Superb service at a totally reasonable price offered by down-to-earth people.Longer review: I had recently gone in to the oil change shop down the street from where I work to have my car’s AC serviced/looked at since it was no longer blowing cold air. Since they weren’t equipped to repair it (they thought it might have been a pressure switch or expansion valve), the young man there (Darren) referred me to Jr.’s Euless Transmission, since his mother (April) ran the office and his uncle (Jimmy) was either part-owner or the main technician there (can’t recall). I called ahead, talked to April, and dropped my car off on a Thursday morning, planning to use Uber/Lyft to get back to my office. To my surprise, she offered to ride with me in my car back to my office so that she could just drive my car back to the shop. Fast forward to a few hours later, and when I called to check on its status, she was like ‘Oh, yeah, it was just a couple of relays so we’ve already ordered the parts and expect to have them shortly, after which we’ll get them put in and then I can just drop your car off back at your office for you. Your total will be $108.07.’ I was taken aback for several reasons. First and foremost I’ve never experienced service like that from a repair shop. It’s one thing to turn around a car and have it repaired within a day, but to do so (along with an AC check) for an extremely reasonable price, with only a half hour’s labor, *and* to offer me a ride back to my office as well as dropping my car back off for me? That’s awesome. Kudos to April and Jimmy for running what I feel is a great business with honest folk there who don’t mess around and get stuff done. I’ll come back and tell anyone who’s in need of a mechanic to look no further. I’m cross-posting this review on Yelp and Google too.

Great service and selection of parts. Clerk was very knowledgeable of store inventory and auto parts, amd polite.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
