StopWatch Urgent Care
Sent here from my primary doctor. Rolled my ankle over the weekend and my primary did not have an X-ray machine. Thanks fully Stopwatch saved us from spending the day in the ER. Sure enough fractured fibula (outer lower leg). They put a cast on me and set me up with orthopedics. So thankful to have Stopwatch in Eufaula now. Everyone was so nice and fast.

We went to another urgent care 3 weeks ago and received a $400 bill because they did not tell me that my Blue Cross insurance did not cover nurse practitioners. I called BCBS to complain. A friend of mine used Stopwatch which I uses only doctors and assured me my bill would be covered by my insurance. I wish I would have known about Stopwatch sooner.

Had a fish hooks through my hand, went to the other urgent care and looked at it and said for us to go to the ER. The ER had a long wait and they told us to go to Stopwatch. Dr Roberts evaluated it, numbed my finger up, cut off the barb of the hook and pulled it out with ease. Great expertise and great visit!

Went to the ER this morning and found out they had a 3 hours wait! We decided to try this new urgent care out. I was diagnosed with the flu and got my medicines and was literally there in less than 45 minutes. No more ER visits for us The nurses were so nice and empathetic.

Great experience today. Had to take my sweet mother in this afternoon with confusion. They ran a urine test on her and found out she had a bad UTI. They emailed her medicine to Eufaula drugs and literally we were home within 45 minutes from when we left the house.

Very knowledgeable doctor. I have a rare disorder and as soon as I mentioned it, Dr Roberts knew exactly what it was and which medicines to give( for my sinus infection) that would not interact with my other medicines. Very impressed.

Very fast visit this morning. They were very professional and kind. They really do care for their patients, which is something I did not get from another urgent care in town.

Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
