Cardenas Auto Repair
Pablo, is hands down the best mechanic in Escondido. I needed him on short notice to help me pass smog before I was over my time restraints. He was very honest and fair with his prices! I'm super picky about who handles my cars since I trade in a lot! I was a customer of Tim Terry's but since that business closed down I have been trying to find a good mechanic in North County. RECOMMENED to all other old Tim Terry clients who need a new guy Pablo is the guy

Sonrise RV
I took our RV in to have the Electrical Monitoring System (EMS) fixed. The electric part of the water heater wasn't working. At this point, the hydraulics are all working perfectly. I will lay out the facts of our experience. You decide. The short version is this: Don't take your coach to this establishment.During work on the EMS they broke the hydraulic system. Literally hydraulic fluid FILLED the compartment and nothing worked. They claimed they fixed it, delivered it to me after an almost $1000 bill, and then while on the road we discovered that now the kitchen slide and front left jack no longer work.I took it back in to get these new problems fixed. They tried to make it seem like a bunch of parts failed and it wasn't their fault. I told them please don't replace any of those parts and got my coach back. With my untrained eye I discovered two bad solenoids they damaged during work, ordered them, replaced them, and now all is perfect. Didn't even touch ANY OF THE PARTS THEY SAID WERE BAD!! They damaged solenoids, I replaced solenoids, and now all works perfectly. Took me just over 30 minutes. Conclusion: I understand that sometimes accidents happen. In my business I see my fair share of things that we do wrong or on accident, and my position is to always make it right for the clients. I would rather lose a few pennies and gain the respect of the people I serve than save money by convincing them we made no error. I'm also a forgiving person. If they decide to make this problem right, I would respect that.My opinion of the ownership at Sonrise RV is that they are not to be trusted. RVs are pretty complicated things, and JR absolutely takes advantage of the assumption that a typical RV owner doesn't fully understand all the complicated components that make up the coach. Be careful of his fake smile and fast talk...Get a FIRM PRICE before hand. The price will go up to whatever he feels he can collect from you.Happy RVing!!

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. I am very unhappy with the condescending treatment I received from a sales supervisor, that I had to contact, because the salesman that sold me the car, would not answer or return my calls. I love the car I bought, but it has issues & has been in a garage, that specializes in that particular car, since the first of October 2016. It has computer problems, that the garage is having trouble fixing. As soon as they fix a problem another one surfaces. I don't blame the garage, after all they are factory trained specialists. Yes, I understand about the 5 day return & the 30 day we will fix policies, but I was told sorry nothing we can do. There is always something that can be done. I feel like they saw a disabled, female (by herself), senior citizen, SUCKER. I have kept up the full coverage insurance & have paid $1400 in payments for a vehicle that won't run. I live in a rural area, with life threatening medical problems, on a low fixed income. I need a vehicle to get groceries, doctor appointments, & anything else I need. It's not easy to find someone to take me places as it's 30 miles to the nearest, small town, & further to other towns that are larger, when you can't afford to help with gas. I only want something reliable to drive. Is that really too much to ask? I've been sold something that refuses to function. I have no where to turn to. Shame on you CarMax, for taking advantage of me & refusing to do anything to make this right.

D Mac's Auto Repair
Brian at D Mac's is very personable and provides great customer service. He knows about all types of cars, whether they are new cars, older cars or even vintage cars. The prices are very reasonable and you don't have to worry about surprises or being upcharged for something that you don't need. If he does find an additional problem while working on your car, he will call you and talk to you about it - he won't fix something without your agreement. He shows that he cares about his customers in this way and by taking good care of your car. We highly recommend D Mac's in Escondido!

Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
