Two stars is being generous. I bought a 2005 Focus from them last September and I had to get rid of it fast. One, it was 9500$ and they budged 100$ and thats it. It was pathetic but I needed a vehicle. Second it had a shifting problem and I went to them the next day and it "wasn't covered under my 30 day warranty." They only gave me 2k for my truck too which was worth a about 6k. They have no idea what they are doing either. They also sell too many Wholesale vehicles. That is a waste of time. People will pay the extra 1000$ to get it fixed. They try telling you its just a rust issue when it can be clean on the outside. Whoever likes this company has their head up their you-know-what, with the dealership.

Horrible service! Didn't replace a filter that I bought, lied and said they did. Then charged me for no work!

Purchased a 2007 lacrosse and from day one had transmission problems, powersteering problems, air bag problems, and on and on.From day one of owning this LEMON they sold me I was told they would make it right. Darlings way of making it right was to string me along for over a year with "we fixed it this time" but it was never fixed!! Darlings way of fixing airbag issues was to turn off light tell me they replaced air bag modules and seats but never did!! Darlings way of making it right AFTER i ASKED SEVERAL TIMES FOR THEM TO BUY IT BACK, was to tell me they would give me 13,000.00 for a car I had just paid them 18,000.00 for me knowing I couldnt sell it to anyone knowing of the dangerous problems it has, nor could I trade it in cause unlike dealers I could get in trouble if I didnt tell the problems it had!!!! Funny darlings can sell it to me that way!!?? I sold it to them for the 13,000.00. had no choice!!!!! Darlings had it on lot for one month using it as a chase car (Atleast thats what I was told by someone who is honest and works there) and darlings sent it to auction?? Wonder why JAY DARLING did it infact have all the problems I said it did from day one?? abd it wasnt " the fact you felt nothing wrong with the car besides the fact you felt nothing wrong with the car besides I just didnt like the car and my poor wife was scared to ride in it" cause of the air bag issues and the POOR SIDE IMPACT RATING the IIHS gives all 05-09 lacrosses!!!!!! let one of your drive it and ( I will use Darlings words) see how you like it!! Go to BBB and read my review!! Darlings make it sound like they did so much about this!!! I can tell you one thing Darlings didnt offer to buy the lemon back even once!! I had to ask SEVERAL times!!!!!Darlings latest SCAMS after selling (well giving) the lemon back to them I get a letter from the desk of chuck levette offering to purchase this 07 lacrosse and it probably worth more than you think. If you get this letter just throw it in the trash they just try to get you in there and sell you something you dont want!! if like the scam letter says " we need quality trades like yours" Why purchase the lemon back from me and send to auction?????? because its a lemon!!!!???? Thanks to JAY DARLING, CHUCK LEVETTE, KEVIN TESSEO, AND MIKE FREEDMAN FOR SELLING ME A HUGE LEMON!!!! AND MAKING IT RIGHT!!!! YEAH RIGHT !!! You will do better at darlings!!!!!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
