Elko Motor Company
I purchased my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited from Elko Motors Dec. 31, 2014. The Sales Experience was pleasant, did not take 5 hours, my sales rep answered all my questions and encouraged me to keep in touch. Jeep sent 4 Recall notices that I just couldn't get to right away. When I finally was able to schedule all the repairs were made while I was at work - their pick-me-up & deliver-me service was superb. When if was finally time for an oil-change the service dept. took me right in and we waited for about 1/2 hour next to the popcorn machine. There was a mother with several toddlers also in the waiting area and the kids had sort of left a popcorn mess around the machine. The harried mother was trying to keep control but was losing - meanwhile the Owner of Elko Motors came in from the Service Department, saw the situation, immediately cleaned up the mess himself, and as he walked past me (hadn't seen me in 6 months or more) said, "Hi! Are you being taken care of? You bought the Jeep GC didn't you?" Thank You, Elko Motors! You have restored a skeptic's faith in a pleasant auto sale and service experience - and those are definitely at Elko Motors, my first choice in automotive sales and service!

Elko Motor Company
I visited this business three times and two were NOT the best. I had oil changed twice at ELKO Motor Company on a 2010 Camry. I usually take it to SLC since DALE Whites (the previous Business) was my least favorite shop in ELKO. 1st time - Oil Changed and all was good. (Good service and Good price)2nd time - Checked to buy a used Dodge pick-up truck. Overpriced, but no negotiations (Seller stated price was fixed) it was a 2K truck listing the "out the door price" higher than this by many hundreds. After driving the truck, scary sounds pushed me to seek other option - SLC; great trucks and better deals on used vehicles. The sales guy treated me like any other victim at 1st, but hey, that is game of used vehicle sales.3rd time. B/O and could have been way worse. Oil changed in a 2010 camry, but noticed that I had a few ounces of oil on my driveway - fresh and from the car. After inspection (lifting the car as they are tight to get under) the discharge bolt on the oil pan was finger tight, as I could turn it. Tighten it and all was well. So, I will go with "meh..... I've experienced better" many times elsewhere. 33% success; is that good or what?

Elko Transmissions
My family and I broke down while passing through Elko. We have a Ford F250 and it needed the transmission replaced. I am an ASE master tech and have worked at Ford, so this review is a professional opinion of this shop and there work. After calling around in Elko for a quote to replace this transmission I got three quotes two quotes came in at around $3200 and Elko trans quoted me $2200. We had the work done at elko because they had the part in stock and their price was cheaper. They towed my truck for free and completed the work the same day. Only problem was now the price was $3200. We went down and paid and test drove the truck, it worked flawlessly, I was impressed by how quick they were able to complete the work and the quality of their product. In summary I would recommend them but get other quotes and if elko trans seems low it probably is. I drove this truck home to Colorado towing a trailer, about 700 miles, and it has not missed a beat.

S & R Auto Medics
Randy has worked on my vehicles for years. Randy's shop is busy because he is honestly considered the best in town. I have taken vehicles to other shops by mistake and found myself dragging them over to Randy's to get them fixed right. 1st visit a decade ago, he charged half of what every other shop in town wanted to do some work to a Chevy truck. When I picked it up, I was shocked at the lower price and questioned why he didn't charge me more, like everyone else. He simple stated he doesn't work his business that way, he likes being fair and having repeat business. Good MAN - SOLID Service and Fair Price! You CAN"T go wrong!

Elko Transmissions
After seeing other reviews on elko transmission I was really worried about bringing my truck to them. But James and Mark took exceptional care of my family and I. I've dealt with other shops before and this is by far the best service I've had yet. They did everything possible to get me and my family back on the road back to California. Thank you guys so much!!! Definitely a return customer if I'm ever back in the valley

Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
