Cianchetta, Peter - Attorney at Law
helped my wife and i get out of a never ending debt. Compassion, respect, and always a call away, is how Peter and his office treated my wife and I. Not only did he help us through the chapter 7 , helped us stop legal creditor years after the BK. We have consulted his firm for business needs as well, his fees are reasonable and his service is a great value....

Thomas Gillis Attorneys
Very unprofessional. Constant calls of " We don't have paperwork" when personally delivered. Very rude over the phone when asking questions. They said they have 20+ years of experience, the first time paperwork was lost they blamed it on a new worker. NOT confidential! People before me left. They used their paperwork to show us an example but never covered up their personal info!when asked how much was total of bankruptcy said "that's not a lot of money why cant you pay it off? " over all i had a bad experience

Unfortunately I was in a car accident. Someone pulled out right in front of me! Luckily for me my sister new of a great lawyer! He helped me through the whole process! I wasnt harassed by the other party or have to deal with the mumbo jumbo from the insurance company. He referred me to a good chiropractor and I got the help I needed! He made sure I was reimbursed for all of my expenses resulting from the accident! The experience was the best it could have been in this situation!

Law Offices Of Clifford Chigbu
Clifford Chigbu is the best attorney I have ever had represent me in Family Court. I have numerous children from numerous women and all of them wouldn't let me see my kids. My child support was out of this world. I had paid so many lawyers in the past only to watch no change happen with custody. After I hired Clifford I immediately got my 16 year old son out of San Jose whom BTW my ex wife hadn't let me see him in 7 years. Now today we went to Family Court in Martinez and Clifford set me up to get full custody of my 11 year old daughter come summertime when school gets out. I still can't believe the miracle Clifford has done for our family. He is also a very calming man to speak with. He is definitely God send.

I have been working with Clifford since 2006. He handled my ex-husband's immigration service as well as my divorce. He is very professional but more importantly he has become almost like family. I trust him with all my legal needs. His prices a fare and he always worked with me when it came to making payment arrangements. What I like best is that he always makes a point to ask how my son and family are doing. Clifford is a genuinely a good person and he is excellent at his job.

To God be the glory who always provide solutions to my problems. I got to know Clifford Chigbu four years ago when I needed an attorney to represent me in an immigration court. At that point of time every hope was almost gone.Clifford is very professional and with his moderate payment plan has taken me through the court proceedings and have been granted permanent residence.

Mr. Clifford has helped me a great deal I had lost all my confidence. He gave me a basic description of my immigration matter. He answered all my questions promptly and return all my phone calls. . He's prices are very reasonable and he did tell me the fees is been used. later he filed my paper work for my green card. He took out time to see me and clear out my doubts whenever I had them. He helped me file a divorce and then filed for my immigration papers. Within two years I had my Green card in my mail Mr. Clifford has changed my life !!

I actually met Mr. Chigbu through my ex, whom Mr Chigbu was representing. He went above and beyond his call of duty to help our family with our ordeal. Mr. Chigbu is a very professional, caring and compassionate person. I wasn't even his client and he counseled me and potentially brought my family back together through his counseling care and wisdom. I would than recommend Mr Chigbu to anyone looking for an honest, caring, hard working lawyer. We are very thankful we came across him and his Law Office and feel that not only was our ordeal resolved, but we found a lifelong family friend.
Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
