Gray Heating & Air Conditioning Inc.
14 July 2014 I would like to thank Gray H. & A.C. and their employee Bengie WO# 53030. This letter of recognition is for the outstanding work he did at Robert Holt Dr. on 7 July 2014. His professionalism became apparent when I explained that my A/C would continuously run for 16 to 20 hours a day. He knew right away what to do, he said it would take an hour to fix and was done completely after only 57 Minutes. What impressed me was not only that he got it right the first time, but what other A/C company workers have never done, he left my A/C unit and the area around it cleaner than when he started. No workers ever have done that. “Think about that for second.” How would you like me to come fix something at your home and after you pay me your hard earned cash (even if I do the jobright the first time) and then I leave it to you to clean up after. THANK YOU. I will always call on Gary for all heat & A/C needs. Professionalism: Making what you do Look Easy!  Sincerely Mr. & Mrs. Victor Carpio

My unit was not working at home, called the company that worked on it before summer started. I left messages and my husband as well (still waiting for a call). We decided to call this company, they came out checked and fixed problem. Took two days to fix, but they were on time according to the window they gave me, polite, clean, and detailed. Price was good. The only thing, I asked a question and the young man was not sure and asked me to speak to the office person. I called her and She was not sure either and said she would call me back with an answer. Still haven't heard back! :(

They nickel and dime you. Although Rose is awesome and gives reassuring customer service over the phone you end up calling them back and it is ALWAYS something different. They end up charging you for the service charge then offer a discount and make up for it somewhere else. I gave them over 600 bucks for the services this year on 2 units and one still makes funny noises. Still looking to build a realtionship with an AC compnay, although I think I will go geothermal next year so I will run these two into the ground.

I'm very impressed by the professionalism & "old school" respect that they had for my family & I when they arrived to install my AC unit! I expected a 4 hour install & within an hour & a half, they were done. That's service! Then they explained to us how to maximize our comfort temperature and how to shift the drafts in my home... They took the time & treated us like they would to their own family. Thank you , you two are much appreciated! Great pricing too! I Highly recommend this business! ~Melissa Mejia

Awesome service! We had been without AC for 2 days, the guys came, checked it and ordered parts. They were here the following day to install them. Not only were they accommodating with our work schedules but the gentleman that came took the time to clean the entire unit and leave it like new! That was not part of the price but he did it anyway. Definetely recommend it!

Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
