EP Dentistry 4 Kids - Zaragosa
This was my last stop and last hope in a of an ongoing dental nightmare for my son. Due to a prior bad experience at another office my son was traumatized by the dentist at the age of 4. From then on he wouldn't even sit in the chair at an office much less let them touch his teeth. He had some serious issues that need to be taken care of and so we tried 3-4 different times fo get it done at other offices. We even tried be conscious sedation at another office and he still woke up kicking and screaming. I've been at my wits end for about a year now. Recently, my son began to complain of a tooth ache. I knew something had to be done and I couldn't put it off any longer. I came in desparaye for help one day as I was leaving in a trip soon and had to get his teeth fixed. The next option would have been taking him to a surgical center which would cost me at least twice as much money plus I wasn't super excited about putting him all the way under. The staff was very friendly and assisted me in making an appointment for the following day. Still, I had little hope this would work but I was praying it would. The next day we came in and my son was given the medicine for the sedation. It put him out in less than 10 minutes. Still I wasn't sure if it would work. However, it did work! Dr. Johnstun was able to get all his dental work done minis a few minor details that needed a second visit. I was literally in happy tears when they gave him the shots that numbed his gums. This had NEVER been done before (without trauma). I cannot even express how much I love and appreciate this office! They were so accommodating and friendly and understanding of a worroed mother like myself! I would recommend over and over again that tiu visit El Paso dentistry for kids! I am so thankful the Lord answers my prayers and lead me to the right place that was able to fix my sons teeth!

DR Oscar Vargas DDS DBA
I went to Dr. Vargas for an emergency, since I read that they take in emergencies. I had my apointment at 3pm I was not seen until close to 5:30pm. I do have to say is that he did a good job with the emergencie I had. I handed over my insurance card so that they can verify what is covered. I was in pain, I had broken one of my molar so that molar had to be taken out. Once I was ready to be seen by the doctor, he tells me that his clerk tried to call the insurance company but that they had closed around 4pm so they say. I ended up paying out of pocket $360.00. Two weeks later I called my insurance to see if they had recieved they claim, they had not but that was because the claim was done by mail and it would take up to two to three weeks to get their. I had one more question for my insurance company I asked them at what time they closed so that the doctor can call and verify how much coverage I have. They are OPEN 24 HOURS!!!!! I dont know what is going on if its because he has clerks that dont know how to do their job or something else. But this will be the first and the last time I go there. It left me with an untrustfull taste for this place. I dont want to think wrong of people but I will take my buisness somewhere else.

EP Dentistry 4 Kids - Zaragosa
I have absolutely no complaints about EP Dentistry! Everyone from the reception desk to the dental assistants, dentists ( especially Dr. Johnstun) and other staff members are kid friendly, knowledgeable and customer service oriented. We have been going here for the past 5 years and wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else for any of our children's dental needs. We have four children and they always allow us to schedule them for the same day and time so it is more convenient for us as parents to get all their dental appointments fulfilled without making multiple trips to the same facility for different children. The waiting area that has an indoor playground, video games section and a movie to keep the kids occupied. They always leave with a balloon and dental hygiene bag. My son recently had a tooth removed and ended up in a good mood and smiling on his way out the door because of the steps EP Dentistry takes to make your child feel safe, important and special each time they visit.

EP Dentistry 4 Kids
Today was my very first visit with my 4 year old, had just switched my main dentist. And as my friend said they are amazing! They have so much patience, especially with my daughter she scares easy. I got assigned to Dr. Cook, who let me tell me tell you, is AMAZING he explained literally everything that was happening and what was going to happen (which to me is a big deal, considering the last dentist wasnt as professional). I also met Irma the dental hygenist, she was amazing she actually took the time to clean my daughters teeth with a toothbrush and not those loud machines that scare her so much. And last but not least Jonathan Sanchez, he guided me step by step, was extremely patient with my daughter and was able to answer all the questions I had. I am beyond satisfied, i feel relieved to have finally found a place where my daughter isnt afraid to go anymore! Thank you sooo much!

We are a military family and just moved to the area. My daughter was due for a dentist visit so I got a referral from our insurance company. The first dentist (not at EP 4 Kids) was nice but the appointment felt rushed and they didn't fully explain everything to me. My daughter needed a lot of work done so I decided to get a second opinion from EP 4 Kids since they were referred to me by a friend. From the moment I walked in everyone was extremely helpful and kind. They explained all the procedures and why they recommend doing them. Dr. Lind was so kind and detailed without scaring me or my daughter and didn't pressure me or make me feel like a bad parent for all the problems my daughter had with her teeth (although it is my fault for not flossing! ;)). I would highly recommend these dentists to anyone.

In 1987, I was told by the military that dependents needed to find a civilian dentist. I was upset, but in retrospect, it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I have been a patient of Dr. Spivack's since then. He's repaired fillings, put in my first crown and recently, did lumineers. I love my smile. He has seen my children since they were 3 and 5 years old. With his gentle demeanor and patience, my children learned the dentist was not someone to fear. His pro-active care of their baby teeth has led to two kids who have never had a cavity even though as I child, my mouth was full of cavities. My parents and sister became patients of his and have been just as satisfied as I am. When my husband retired from the Army, he too became a patient. I wouldn't dream of finding another dentist.

I found nothing to complain about this Dental office deserves better reviews. You can get an appointment quickly,. you can discuss what you want with the dentist . the wait time is small. the staff is helpful. Cavities are not expensive but be prepared to spend a lot of money if you have major work to be done . There are more expensive dentists in the area if you want. Dr. Omar Siddiqui seems very good to me you can see his credentials on display in the waiting area. Be prepared , check with your Ins carrier first, know your coverage and what is not covered. I found a treatment on my estimate that seemed very expensive and I asked at the front desk about , I was told it is a " suggested " treatment for a condition I have. I would recommend this Dentist and office to my friends .

I took my 5 year old here for his dental procedure and it was hands down the best care I could have expected. I was explained the procedure and as my son was given his medicine the lady spoke to him in the kindest way possible which put him at ease. As the dental assistant, Enrique, prepped my son, he explained everything to me and constantly ensured all of my questions were answered. Dr. Larson did such an amazing job and between the both of them they completed my son's procedure so easily. Great team!! At the end off our visit Jenny F. handled my payment and schedueling of future appointments. She kept asking my son how he felt and had excellent customer service skills. This is such a great office!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this dentist office. I have taken my children to Kool Smiles about 4 years ago and they lied to me about services needed and insurance covering cost of services. I got the second opinion here at have stayed here with EP DENTISTRY ever since. I also like that they allow the parents in the treatment rooms with your children. Some dentist offices don't allow this. Short wait time and they always leave with a balloon and a fun goodie bag! If its kid approved, then definitely mommy approved! Kids watch a movie while cleaning/treatment is being done and the staff is all so patient and kind to every child. There is even a play area in the front waiting room which is always a plus.

Spivack, Steven DDS
I'm a Weiner patient and Dr. Spivick (El Paso, TX) and his staff have never lost their patience with me. I have been terrified of the dentist since a bad experience at 16 and a repeat at 43. Dr. Spivack has never rushed a procedure even sending me home one time to reschedule after I needed something to calm me down (they hadn't started yet) I had just gotten myself worked up on my own. He has gas available for people like me and doesn't over use it so I am ready to leave when he is finished. He even calls me or my spouse at home in the evening if we have had a procedure. He doesn't push expensive procedures although he does them. Best dentist I have ever had.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
